Default More pics of my LS1 Coupe.

Just thought I would share. It is still pretty dirty and needs to be lowered more. Dang thing is too light and hardly compresses the suspension.

Wow, looks nice. How did the swap go? Did the car start out with a 302 or the 4 cylinder? I have always loved the idea of a fox body with a LS1

Default Nice Work

Nice installation. Would lowering the rear of the car a few inches help in preloading the suspension & weight tranfer? Gar

Thanks man, It is originally a 5.0 car. The swap was actually pretty simple. Headers suck, but other than that, it was pretty easy.

Thanks, Yeah, I really thought it would sit lower in the rear than what it does. I am using moroso trick rear springs with lakewood 50/50's. I will be dropping it about 1-1.5" in the rear.

Believe it or not the radiator and hoses are both for a 99 Z28 and fit perfect. Yes, gates. I fabbed up a set of upper radiator mounts and cut some notch's in the upper core support for the radiator cap, but thats it.

Thanks man.. Nah, not yet but I am hoping they hook good enough to hang the front runners in the air a little.

it looks like your motor is right up by the firewall? wish mine was. i think the guy that built it let the headers dictate where the motor was going to sit. there's enough room to have a picnic between my motor & firewall!

it's got a PA sbc/fox k-member and i have at least 4", maybe 6"! i'm just going by memory, but that's pretty much close to it i think. motor mounts are 3 pcs of 1/4" steel plates. 1 to the block, 1 to the mount pad, & the 1 in the middle for as a spacer for the bolt heads that go to the block. no welding at all.

that k-member puts a sbc in the same location as the stock 5.0 which is about 4inches from the firewall

i have a qa1 k-member for a 96-04,and it set it all the way back,it couldn't go back any more

that's gotta be a LOT better for weight transfer. of course, if i get traction it'll help keep the front end down i guess. but it makes traction on the street worse being that much further forward. oh well, i'm gonna be trying to fit the MT 325/50 DR's in a couple months and see if they help. of course, i'm also going from 3.27's to 4.56's, so that wont help at all on the street. lol. but it'll be fun trying!
