The truck throttle cable worked fine for me. I had to slightly drill out the hole in the firewall (IIRC its a D shape for the g-body cable and the truck cable is round) and then you have to bend the gas pedal arm slightly to get WOT.

I'm suing DBW, But when I had the LT1, I used a Camaro throttle cable. Did any of the early Camaros with LS motors have a cable? I would try that. The body style from LT1 to LS1 in the Camaro didn't change, so I bet it would work. The LT1 cable even had the same clips to mount in the firewall as stock Monte.

I know that the cable from a TPI F-body will work with some firewall modifications. So I imagine that the LS1 F-body would be a similar fit.

I wonder how a custom bracket would do to push a Sanden compressor out further to line up with rest of the pulley's??

Like this

Or

With the factory truck bracket and compressor maybe even the car compressor & bracket, I think the end of the compressor/bracket hits the mounts with 1in setback plates (for those using that setup)

I would think a custom bracket like above but push it more forward so it's no longer running on its own belt if you use a new Sanden Compressor.

I did a search of this thread, and maybe I missed it, but certainly need more info. Going to run twin 66's or a big single turbo with A/C and really really don't want to look at the a/c at the top of the engine bay. I got Trans-Dapt 1" set back plates.

It can be done with some custom brackets and 6 rib pulley compressor.

There is plenty of room for the stock AC compressor
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...m-bracket.html

Just needs a different pulley and custom brackets, or sanden compressor.

Which are those? There are quite a few different mounts on ebay.

Seems like notching the frame would be less work than making a bracket

Anyone using factory floor shifter with 4l60e?

Trying to get the monte floor shifter that was used with 200r4 to work with my 4l60e, using 1in set back plates.

I sold the old 305 and trans a while back, didnt even cross my mind to take the brackets off the original trans if that's all I need for the shifter to work with the 4l60e.

Anyone using stock LS2 corvette accessories in a G-body? The search turned up a few possibilities but no pictures or confirmations. I'd really like to keep my LS2 Maganacharger and use it on my 5.3 swap into my Monte.

Thanks!

EDIT* Found my answer..

I have Vette accessory bracket for the Alt & Power Steering, using Holley bracket for the AC compressor.

Good deal! I'm really excited to get this project going.. My Monte is fun the way it is and the new powerplant wont be near as potent but the reliability of my current blown SBC sucks and I can't get the oil pan/rear main to quit leaking.

Well today I started fitting the f body TSP long tubes to my l92/4l80e.....A lot of cutting needed on the passenger side of trans to fit and I assume the same for the driver side. Also motor mounts and adapter plates need some trimming for the headers to fit. Tomorrow we are hoping to test fit the motor and trans with the headers.

As for the shifter , still trying to find out the best way to hook the 4l80e up and what cables needed. But I will take pictures of the hopeful fitment of the headers.
