James the amperage of the alt won't matter much but you can run the large case one from an 04 Silverado . I think it's 145 amp. As for the power steering you will need the smallest pulley you can find. people use the ctsv pulley.look for a thread, 83 cutlass/4l80/s60 you can see my ls swap

ok i got one from a 2011 silverado it has the 2 pin plug like my harness its a 145 amp and the mount holes are closer together than the stock camaro ss one so i should fit the raise bracket from holley the pully looks slightly different but appears to be set out the same distance as the camaro alt, we will see...... the corvette power stearing pump is 500 dollars without a pully the ctsv pull from a 2011 is 90 dollars i want to be sure this will work before i buy it as it will be non returnable any body actually hands on done this swap with a ls3 6.2 L not a 5.3 or 6.0 but an actual ls3 6.2??????? if so help with part numbers etc thanks

I think you will run into problems using that bracket with the hooker mounts. I was told by someone who works for holley that the bracket won't work in truck spacing . the pulley will hit the ps hoses . U might be able to use low profile fittings to get around this. All the gen 4 blocks are the same when it comes to front accesorys you can run any ls front accesory u want . Corvette, truck, f body , ctsv, etc I am planning a whipple 2.9 install on my cutlass, so I have researched this extensively . Your cheapest way out is this bracket you can use a chevy truck ps pump, it won't hit the box, and is the same spacing as camaro this is the route I am going to take.

hmm so the holley raise bracket isnt gonna work with the hooker motor mounts is what your saying? and why?

and the pulley hitting the hoses i was concerned about already.... i wonder where a guy can get low profile fittings, im not trying to do this swap as cheap as possible but a nice clean swap.
so that ls bracket.com bracket allows the use of truck ps pump thats why its the cheapest route??? and it wont hit what box??? also that water pump is different than mine if that matters.

i understand that all the ls blocks are the same but just trying to find out what to use to make this holley bracket work cleanly so the corvette ps pump with low pro is the only **** that works with the holley bracket?? if so what a bunch of bullshit but ill buy one if i have to

The ls brackets.com one will work because it moves the alt over for the blower but keeps the ps pump in the same location as the truck bracket which is proven to work with the hooker mounts. I know this because I'm using the truck brackets with the hooker mounts on my car. The 2010 + Camaro water pump and the truck pump are different but use the same spacing I'm using the camaro wp on my swap. If I were you I would return the holley alt bracket, buy the ls bracket and get a ps pump for a 2001 + gm truck your ps lines will bolt right up. I fig this out after hrs of research . I am trying to spare you the same. I am getting ready to put a whipple 2.9 on my ls swapped cutlass. The whipple and the Maggie you have are very similar

i appreciate every bit of help
so i did get that alternator and it fit and lined up mint!!!(2011 silverado 5.3) and it isnt even close to the blower...
i guess the only issue i have now is power steering pump and the cts-v pulley as you mentioned i found a 02 vette p/s pump used and may buy the cts-v pulley new but havent found anywhere that tells me the diameters of the cts-v pully i want to compare it to mine from 2010 camaro 2SS ls3 which is 6 1/8 inches across also want to know if that pulley fits the 02 vette ps pump.... but as for the alt being close to the blower its miles away and i cant see that as an issue now

Looks good james didn't realize you needed a 2 pin. I would definately recommend the aluminum vette pump. I tried forever to get the camaro pump 98-02 to go in and spent hours grinding on the housing. They are literally interchangeable on the camaro and vette, but the holley bracket needs the vette one. It is very tight back there and needs to be the right one.

As for the pulley I don't remember which pulley I used, the kit comes with a fitment manual and I ordered a couple different pulleys and used the best one. It's a metal pulley and has 4 windows it in, not holes but triangle shaped windows.

Sweet build I'm looking for an lsa supercharger for my other build yours looks awesome

My swap is on page 5 in the conversions sec. 83 cutlass/ly6/4l80/s60. I'm going to buy the whipple universal ls kit it comes with an intercooler. You should contact Maggie and get a replacment intercooler. I checked out your ride on u tube. You should start a build thread here. A lot of cool people to help u out along the way

Not sure if rockauto.com ships to canada, but there on there for 115 in aluminum or 80 in steel. I looked at mine and it is indeed the steel because I'm cheap lol
