Yes, the '80 El Camino is a G body but I think GM was still calling them an A body at that time. The designation of G body did not occur until '81.

Holes in the ac box too. I put my engine in using hooker mounts and removed the right valve cover and coil packs. No damage to ac box.

Ya I realized that after the fact lol . I was one of the first to use these mounts.the thing I love about this system is even with poly inserts,my car is vibration free. I removed the nose and put motor/tranny in in one shot. Took about 45 min.

Thanks all, got it bolted in! We actually put some holes in the box pulling the 305 out, will have to clean it up. I do think if I do it again, will use the one 1" setbacks with SBC mounts.

Ya the afco one is meant for it in size the only thing I diddnt like was the in/out locations on it but it's meant for a f-150 so.. Guy coulda welded em in better spots if so desired but I had heater hose with pre bent 90's in em and made it all work

The pedal is attached to the DBW unit which is attached to a bracket to the firewall. I did angle the DBW unit on the stock bracket..
Both the bracket and the DBW came in a kit from GMPP.
