No problem on the input, it's the main reason I create these threads. We don't currently offer any shifter products, but you never know...if you ever get to work out the shifter linkage for a 4L80 you'll experience an even bigger challenge.

hey a question on the hooker g body ls swap trans crossmember i have the crossmember and ordered the 12650hkr adapter kit i believe this was the th400 adapter correct??

and... now that i have it it is simply a block of aluminum with some bolt holes and a steel bracket sort of deal that has no holes for bolting... is this a weld on piece? and is this what i need for the th400?? (installing th400 at a later date)

You can discard the weld-in gusset, it is used for installing a 2004R in a 1st-gen F-body application. The kit is sold for multiple uses/applications.

Default So the aluminum block is necessary for th400 in g body. That's what I needed?

Yes, the aluminum spacer is the only part you need to put a TH400 in your G-body with the Hooker crossmember.

Ok, I know I read it somewhere but finding it again is tedious. Just confirming a '98-'02 Generation 4 F-Body radiator fan is the correct part for my Monte Carlo? I'm using the stock radiator. Besides sourcing from the wreckers, is the Dorman #620-634 correct? http://www.dormanproducts.com/itemde...SEName=620-634
Thanks in advance.

Besides the engine and transmission what is a ballpark figure on the cost to do a swap?

ok shot in the dark here.........
now that the car is done and running what seems to be great!! ive taken it out a few times and have found out that it is now hitting the rev limiter at 5000 RPM!!!! the rev limiter was set at 6500 or possible slightly higher in the 2010 camaro it came out of so i am very confused as "PSI Conversions" (flashed out VATS from ECU) swears that they did not touch anything in the tune... (i will get it tuned again) But i want to know if anyone else has experienced this or heard of it? ive hear that the ECU can have a safety that only allows 5000 rpm when engine is below operating temp but my engine was at 190* so.... anyone??? anything????

also my last swap video

If the ECM doesn't know that the Trans is in a drive gear, then it resorts to a lower rev limiter setting. My 2012 L99 Camaro had a 6200 rev limiter in any drive gear, but it was only 4000 in Park or Neutral.

There is also a coolant temp and time based modifier table that will affect the limiter.

Both are easy tuning fixes.

Ok yes upon some research I found that neutral rev limiter info but only found it about the auto cars... Any confirmation that the manuals rev limiter in neutral is around 5000 rpm??? Obviously they wouldn't want someone slamming an auto in gear with high Rpms but in a standard trans it is more "acceptable" per say haha
And as for the coolant temp it is seeing the proper temps as I'm using an OBD2 reader guage so I can see that
But what is this time based table you talk of???
The ecu has been sent in to the original tuner (Davenport Calgary) for them to have a look over it so hopefully they can change these settings but I will fine tune it here at home on the dyno and a tune

Oh, I didn't realize you had an LS3 computer. The table that is causing your problem is the Wheel Speed Limit table. If the PCM doesn't detect at least 14.9 mph as the lowest wheel speed, then it limits the rpm to 5000. It's an easy fix for your tuner.
