Default L33 Oil Pan Help

Hello All,

Another new guy here...I've been searching for a shorter oil pan setup for a Jeep build with a planned L33 motor swap and came across this site and started searching! I can't seem to find a definite answer so I thought Id try posting here.
My understanding is that the F-body pan setup works with LM7s, but question is, will this F-body setup work with the L33 motor? Any differences or advice? Thanks in advance,

F-Body
Camaro / Firebird
Capacity: 5.5 qts
Oil pan , List Price $266.39: 12558762
Oil pump pickup: 12558251
Windage tray: 12558253
Dipstick tube: 12551577
Dipstick: 12551581
O-ring for Oil pump pickup: 12557752 (Same as Corvette LS1/LS6)

Yes. It will work fine. The L33 is the same as an LM7 except is an aluminum block.

I just picked up the Fbody pan and pickup tube. The pan comes with the gasket and the pickup tube comes with the O-ring. The dip stick tube also came with its O-ring. No need to buy these seperately.

Hey Cutty... We exchanged e-mail on the swap. I actually have two LS pans that I'm not using... one came with my motor, one I bought on a recomendation that was wrong. First is a 'Truck Pan' used but in good shape, second is the GM Perf Parts 'Hot Rod' pan, brand new. I can send you dimensions if you need them and are interested in either. David

Default Corvette LS2 Pan vs. Caddy CTSv Pan

Here's some pictures of the Caddy Pan next to the C6 Pan. The corvette pan does not fit well onto an automatic transmission because the vette tranny is in the back. It leaves gaps that should be covered. If you want to see what I mean go here

Vette Pan is on eBay

Default Another front sump pan option for everyone

Version 2 of our front sump pan is now available with new added features

* 7 quart high capacity design using required oil filter relocation kit
* 6061 CNC flanges
* Baffle and trap doors - improvement on OEM design to fight oil starvation
* Increased internal clearance for larger aftermarket connecting rods/bolts
* Magnetic drain plug and all required hardware
* Includes New OEM gasket
* Includes New OEM GTO oil pump pickup tube (oil filter relocation kit not included).
* Low profile pan - great for cars that need added ground clearance
* Redesigned rear pan flange that allows use of factory LS1/T56 bell housing dust covers

These pan combines the best fit with superior oiling to any factory/aftermarket pan or baffle design.

Never worry about oil starvation again!

Recommended for both street and track use.

This pans are in stock and ready to ship. check them out here

So the question is, on blocks that have the dipstick hole already in them, will this pan cover that hole up so it will not leak or do you have a plug kit for it?

That slight gap could easily be covered by fabbing up a piece out of thin metal...

Yes, when you buy the pan it comes with a plug for the OEM dipstick hole.

Lots of info here, very useful. I read these pages and I have a few questions-anyone have part numbers for that dipstick hole plug mentioned above? also part numbers needed for GTO pick tube O-ring, I believe the GTO pick up is 12572654? Thanks!
