Default Can anyone tell what Bellhousing this is?

I believe that I have found the Mecca of LSx Swaps! Halleluyah!!!

So as a newbie, I am asking the experts for their help. Can anyone identify this bellhousing?

C5 or C6, as mentioned previously. Not a F-Body/GTO/SSR/CTS-V T56 bellhousing.

My guess: not LS1 at all.

There are only 4 bolt holes mating the tranny to the bellhousing. That reminds me of my 4-speed in my 79Z. Look at this PDF document for a Super T10:

http://www.richmondgear.com/07pdfs/RG25.pdf

And a couple of old school bellhousings:

Note the spacing of the 4 bolt holes.

That bellhousing to me looks like a bellhousing that allows for the use of a hydraulic slave for an older style transmission. Great idea. Not sure what block it mates up to, looks almost like an SBC, but lacks a bolt hole on one side (but could have been ground off).
