20lbs !SAP body kit
3lbs !Side molding
38lbs !Front bumper support/Washer fluid reservoir/Whisper ram air

45lbs !Stock exhaust
20lbs !Rear bumper support
22lbs !Stock stereo system
5lbs !Hydraulic fluid reservoir
2lbs !Sun visors
2.5lbs !Rear seat belts
2lbs !Rear floor mats

I see no mention of the airbags. Those are chubby
(esp. passenger's) and if you're gonna make it a
death sled (bumpers & bars delete) I guess you may
as well go all out.

Is the driver seat power? Get rid of it.

I went 99SS' route. I'm at 3850 without the roll bar or me included.
I am going to weigh this weekend but i know its below 3600, more around 3500lbs. yah i would like to ditch the seats and get some racing ones. I will soon enough. As for the airbags, i will do those when i get a chance. Thanks guys.

I added skinnies up front 15x3.5 with 165 85 15 tires. I can't remeber exactly, but i think each wheel/tire ended up being like 17 lbs lighter a piece. for a total of 34 lbs of rolling mass removed.

Also, you can remove your front sway bar/bolts and brackets if i remeber right, mine weighed in at 19 lbs.

yah I forgot about the sway bar, that can go too. I had skinnes and slicks lined up to buy but the guy wanted me to wait till the next day, so i backed out, lol. I will get those early next year though.

i saw 2 things worth while metioning that isnt in your list.....

A/C delete and battery relocation (relocating the battery isnt a weight reduction but it takes weight from the front of the car and puts it on the back, i even read somewhere that relocating the battery equals moving the engine back by 10"

also fibreglassing the body helps losing weight. CF hood shuld make a world of differance and even though the panels on the car are mostly made of plastic CF is still lighter

mine weighed in at 3750 with me in it (150lbs) stock with 18x8 rims all the way around.. after the weight reduc mods, it weighs in at 3500 with me in it

i still have the factory body kit as well..

!spare/jack
!trunk carpet/sound deadener
!ac compressor (i am in okc, and yes it gets hot. luckily i live real close to work lol)
!heat shields
!front sway bar
15x8, 15x3.5 draglites
!backseat
!air/egr
Other then that, the rest of the car is still there. I still have a full exhaust, and log manifolds. i also have leather interior and power d/s.

I plan on removing sound deadener from the cab, and a plastic racing seat for the track (removing both front seats). Then i am going to remove front and rear bumper supports and ws wiper fluid resivoir.

i never heard about the door bar removal, how much do those weigh?

It looks empty! Put a 6pt rollbar in there and that will make it look sweet if you remove the rear seats.

Dustin, In addition to battery Relo, how about Braille racing batteries. Reading the ad in Super Chevy mag: RACING BATTERY is 7 lbs...""Up to 55 lbs lighter than a standard battery of equal power.""

I know you want to keep AC...they full accessoried street cars called "AUDIO AND EXTREME USE BATTERY" which is just 21 lbs....

Not sure how that compares to our stock batteries. Anyhow, I am interested myself in one next time my batterery dies....check it out

Braille batteries... Never mind, They are really just motorcycle batteries, won't last with our heavy duty alternators overcharging them. Also they don't have good cold cranking amps...Oh well.
