My FRC Project
I bought the car with a salvage title needing a little work and TLC. It has 36000 miles on the drivetrain. My plans for it are fixed headlights, MGW shifter, some exhaust work, Hot Rod Black paint, and maybe a steering wheel. Here are some pics. Let me know what ya think.
This is when I picked it up.
Here is how she sits now.
I got my sexy rear end back from paint.

Well I've got a fair amount of work done on the car recently. My goal is to get it done by the end of the month. Sorry the pics are a little dark. I should have taken pics during the day, but here it goes:
Come to find out the part that holds the trunk lid and that the top glues too was not glued on, so I removed it and cleaned up all the old epoxy on it, the care, and the underside of the top.
My Dad and I glued it on and the front fender well. Then a couple of friends and I put Hushmat through the whole car, and installed a quarter panel
This is the darkest pic. I forgot to get a pic sooner, but here is the Hushmat (sound deadener) through the whole car.
I installed my head unit, which invovled trimming the metal behind it. Put in my MGW Shifter, thanks to SSTG for the hook up! (Didn't get a pic of either, DOH!) Although here is a pic of the installed dash and center console set up.

Shoot some 3M 5200 where the roof bonds to the rear upper tub area. You can do this from inside the car, this will prevent you from getting leaks.
The glue used at the factory is hard glue which cracks over time, which then allows water to get in. The 3M 5200 is flexible (marine urethane) that will last a lifetime.
