Good to hear you are ok, I've heard a lot of horror stories about fly wheels comming thru the floor and cutting limbs off. Anything else in the drivetrain break?

stevev,

lmao, you know i gave you 2 cases of MOLSON, not MOLSEN, lmmfao!!! you think you would have looked at least one of the cans and remembered the spelling or is that the american spelling of Molson

i called the gentleman who built the blanket for me to thank him, as it did what it could do. he actually said he would make a new one for me free of charge. i am going to send this one back to him so he can see where the stud broke thru. and he said he would make it better. at this point it will really only be for insurance as i WILL have proper protection around whatever clutch i decide to put in there.

And I drove 280 miles to Morocco/US-41 to run with redneck bob. I should have been at Milan. Good to hear you'll be shifting again.

Glad your OK, I just watched the video...WOW. That was violent! That definitely opened my eyes to a big potential problem. Apparently the company you linked also makes an SFI bell for LS1/T56 apps. I'm going to try it after seeing all the problems others have had with the McLeod bell. They said it comes with everything, bolts right up, and works for the f-bodies. I just ordered one so we'll see how it turns out. Thanks for the heads up.

I used to use an Exotic Muscle blanket on my LT1 until the car burned up. Judging by your experience even a blanket won't stop everything. I am glad there will finally be an option for LTx guys.
