I know this doesnt help to much but my buddy has a 01 z28 with 2.73s and 107,000 miles, he ran a 13.9 at 104 mph. His worst run was a 14.4 when he didnt take the traction control off. Maybe you forgot to turn it off?

I know he was not spinning the tires at halftrack, that would be obvious to anyone. So why resort to namecalling?

My car stock with 98k miles went 13.28 @ 107 with 2.73 gears and NOTHING done to it other than a SLP lid.

i ran a 14 first time i took my 2.73 car out. put a lid on it, put me at 13.6. Headers, and a 3.6k stall and dropped me to 12.6. did h/c and put in 3.42's and now i'm at 11.7@ full weight-spare and jack+ plus my fat ***.
I don't think theres anything wrong with your car other than it's stock.

i did actually read the words in your post..

i also read the quote..

you showed how you could sit there and brake torque a car and white smoke... you could do that in a v6... it was kind of pointless...

like i said, what was the relevance of that video?

There is a buddy of mine on the forum username "Silentechoes" who owns a 01 z28 with 2.73's. With full weight (Jack in the trunk) he ran 13.2 with just a magnaflow muffler. The air was not the best either. I am sure he could run 13.1 without the muffler in good air since he has only taken the car down the track no more than 12 times.

The video is saved in streetfire video's website.

I went 13.2 in my 2.73 camaro stock, without having an aftermarket exhaust.

To the OP, if you don't need your rear seats pull them and the belts, they weight more then you think and can be put back in pretty easily if you ever need them.
Also pull the spare and jack, that spare is heavy!

I still think the tune up is the main problem, that and the launch/shifting.
