Help Relocating Front Fuse Block
I have my enging bay guted and want to relocate the fuse block so I can put the dry sump tank were they are now. Anyon have pic's of where they relocated them? It appears I have to take everything loose from inside the car and pull the wiring into the engine bay to get it loose. I am figuring on putting it all under the dash, no heater under there so there is lots of room and running new wiring to the headlights, turn signals and fans.
Any hints and tips are appreciated

This isn't an easy job, I'm 100% sure of that. Honestly, I looked at doing this, and it looked to me like it would be easier to just cut everything out, get a BS3 system wna their engine harness to run the motor, ditch the entire stock cluster and put my own gauges in that I needed/wanted, and rewire the headlights/running lights, leave the turn signal's out, mount the headlight covers and just ditch the headlights (the flip up only way I could come up with to make them work was going to require 2 switches) and run the fog lights, which is legal for every class I've looked at... and be done with it. Just snip every wire out and race wire the car.
Not cheap to do that, but I don't really see any other way, unless you want to cut every wire going to the fuse box, label them all and then resolder them together inside the car... if you're willing to do that then you can do it, but that's the only way I think.
If you do get it done, post up what you did, alot of people on here would love to be able to do it I think.

The only time I have seen a guide was when you were trying to hide the wiring in the car and would relocate the box. If I come across it again, I will post it. But like JL said, there is def some work involved.

Damn, nothing but speculation and conjecture. I was hoping there would be a solid answer.
I'm about to start on mine. I already stripped the harness of just about everything. The only thing I'm keeping are the DRL's, side marker lights, e-Fans, fuel pumps and window motors. There is no easy or nice way of doing it as far as I can tell after stripping the harness. I'm going to make a new PCM harness and extend the wires so that I can mount the PCM on the interior kick panel and setup a new fuse box with WAGO blocks to keep it modular.
Post up whatever you do, I should be starting mine this week.

I know one person that did it, and it wasn't easy, it most certainly be done. I'm hoping that Ray find an easy way to do it, so that the rest of us can benefit from his findings.
Race wiring the car is always an option, one big switch panel to turn on and off all the needed functions.... it's something to consider if you're at the point he is, simply because alot of what's in the factory harness isn't needed anymore for what he's doing.

I relocated mine, bythe way there are two fuse blocks, I dont have any pictures, and I can get to them from the access panel in front of the tire, but let me tell you this, IT WAS A COMPLETE MOTHER SCRATCHER. What a pita. I moved mine so I could put my fuel cell there.

Is it possible that there is enough slack in the harness that you could pull the fuse boxes forward? Then maybe you could locate them under the driver's-side headlight door (or under the headlight for Camaros).

I have a pianless "prostreet" wiring harness and I put the fuse box in the dash were the factory fuse box was. Since I'm running so litlle acc. everything fit in that little opening. I don't think you can get it to work though for the engine fuse block.

Well it seems that "most" of the wires associated with that harness are headed into the cabin. This is telling me that there wouldn't be too many wires to lengthen and solder/heat shrink. Then you could put the two fuse blocks and wiring inside the car, under the dash somewhere (good luck).
I would consider doing something like this. I am not fond of the way GM designed where the PCM is mounted, or how these fuse blocks just kind of sit there. All of that **** should be inside the car in the dash somewhere. I was going to lengthen every PCM wire and mount the PCM in the glove box. That would be a PITA but look awesome when done.

For those of you extending all those wires, major props to yall. I would lose interest in that so fast. I'm going to be running a BS3 now and completely rewire the car and put a switch panel in it. Cant wait to get rid of that bundle of wires under the hood and under the dash.

BS3 just never seems to make the budget on the car for me.
Probably half the fuses and relays in the two blocks are currently not being used. I think I am going to get the harness out and start by cutting out everything that is not being used. It pisses me off I didnt have the time to do this last winter. I am going to pull the f&^%ing dash again and get the PCM and whats left of the fuse blocks in the car. Anybody know what the block with the two plugs next to the two fuse blocks is?
