Nope. don't change that 3.73 in either, if you want n/a performance you need to head in the other direction, 4.30 with a 27 inch tire works out pretty good, 4.56 with 28's works (hooks) better....
I ran a 5200 converter when I was running my car n/a, and with the 408 I have in my sig, if it doesn't sell and ends up in the car, it's getting a 6200 8 inch converter fwiw...
Tight converter and an n/a car don't work together, at all, regardless what a dyno sheet or any of that tells you.
If you want to change something, change that camshaft. You probably need something more like a 250/260 and bump the lift up in the 620ish range, and drop the lsa down to about 110. If, you're after n/a performance.

I'd say it's fine but it will depend on how efficient it is. I had an 8" 4800 that worked good but tried a Vig that also went to 4800 on the 'brake and the car slowed down 3 tenths on motor and 3 on spray...

Any video with decent audio of it going down the track? How many RPMs does it drop between shifts? Is the converter advertised as a 4400 or it that what is does on the brake?

4.10's in it when I ran it on motor but it needed 4.56's to really go after the n/a performance aspect of things.... had I left it n/a I would have went to 4.56 for sure. The 3.73's went in when I started spraying the car not because I was running out of gear, but I was swapping in a spool, and it was an attempt to keep the nose down, which didn't work.
It went thru the traps at 127 at way less then the 7400 it made good power to. When I shifted it at 7000, the shift light never came on at the top end of the track.. and I know it would have been faster shifting it a little higher, especially with a better intake then the fast on it.

Trust in JL, he does know what he is talking about. IMO thats why its called testing and tuning as stall converter speed and gearing should always be the last thing decided in a combo and most times there maybe 2-3 swap outs, not including tire changes to dial it in. This has been echoed by more then one knowledgeable person.
