Default k F*ckkkk dzus. where should i mount my pins?

dzus look great and are awesome i agree. but A i have no $$$ to pay someone to install them. B. I have no time the ltx shootout is a weeka way C. I have 0 confidence doing it myself.

so hood pins it is. stopped at the local parts store and bought some. where is the best place to mount them and how many? the easiest would be where the hood struts were and in the radiator mount. would that be fine? just 4?

60 views no response? i am tight on time. got to get her tuned this week and get to the track friday. all while working everyday.i think the 4 pins would do the trick just worried about the hood flapping in the rear corners.anyone have any input?

If this is a true pin on hood you need at least a dozen pin on points, 4 pins is not gonna cut it-sorry I know it's not what u wanna hear.
Beleive it of not I have seen pin on hoods held on with duct tape in a pinch but you may not pass tech.

Are you confusing dzus fasteners for pins? One pin in each corner would hold it down just fine. It would probably need at least fur dzus on each side and maybe 3-5 on the front though.

yea i was going to use dzus but the install is just over my head so im gonna use hood pins. would the org hood strut mounts be a good spot for the 2 rear pins? or is that not far back enough in the corner?

No I'm not confusing the two. I disagree with only using 4 points to secure a pin on hood, on a regular bolt-on hood that's re-inforced yes I agree the 4 pins are plenty but not for a flimsly (compared to a bolt-on) pin on hood.
That's just my opinion, no flame here, I just don't agree.

I have to agree 100%

I went dzus with my pin on hood and while they were a bit of a pain to put on, I'm MUCH more confident running the car down the track with 14 dzus fasteners then I would be with 4 hood pins.

We have basically 5 pins on the TA. We have 4 Aero Ctach pins on the corners, and one small pin between the nostrils. This is on a VFN 5" sloped WS6 extended pin on hood. I have gone 148 with it, and it doesn't move at all.

i have to disagree on the racecraft rails being simple. easier than individual tabs no doubt but i certainly wouldnt call it simple.

I've never installed the racecraft rails, I made my own brackets but if they just bolt in why are they so hard to install?

Not an easy install at all. I know 4 hood pins will work but if i mount the rear 2 where the hood mount strusts are. Will that work? Or will the rear corners of the hood flap around?

Here is my hood combo with zeus on the side and rear and two pins on front.
What makes it nice is putting the hood on the car, just drop the hood on the front two pins and it aligns the zeus brackets up for you.

I bought the zeus brackets from Jegs positioned and welded them to the fender.

Other Pics.

Rear Bracket #2

Side Brackets

I layed out on some tape where I wanted the brackets to go.
