Default Texas Speed 347ci NA Record - Videos Added!

After getting out of town VERY behind schedule on Friday, the guys drove about 20 hours straight to make the race. With some sore luck in the actual race, we went out in the first round of eliminations With a wheel stand that just kept going, the bumper broke after hitting the ground. So, after the race they also took the ballast out! This resulted in a 10.20@131.7 on a 1.39 short time The guys sound like they had a blast, and come time for Thunder, I think we'll have a new setup in the car with a few extra cubes, and all the suspension tuned in! We'll get videos and pictures and slips posted up as soon as the guys get home.

Is it really true that you guys built this car in 3 weeks and actually pulled it out of a field with weeds growing from under the hood?

That's pretty much the way it went. It wasn't real pretty at the races, but was REALLY bad when we picked it up!

There is the record run, 10.20@131.7 is the fastest ANY of the F/S cars ran this weekend. The second is when Trevor dragged the bumper on the launch Sounds like a good time this weekend, wish I could have been there...And I bet Jason and Trevor wish they weren't having to call and update me every 10 minutes

Matt, the car was awesome for sure! It was wheel standing all day and running great. Don't want tio burst your bubble though, but you guys did remove weight for the 10.20 run, so it was not at F/S weight for the run. Nevertheless, an outstanding car and outstanding results for sure!

so lets straighten this out...

Lee - 10.26? at full F/S weight?
Trevor - 10.20 at less than F/S weight?
Angie/Geoff - 10.3x?? at 132 with a HYD cam at less then F/S weight?

Is that correct?

Lee's 10.26 run was after he pulled weight also, he has a thread stating that he weighed 3300 raceweight on that run.

TSP ran the 10.20 after pulling weight too... just like Lee.

Is the Thunder car REALLY a HYD cam.. or is it solid roller?

There's a thread in this section where geoff talks about TR's setup. HYD roller (240ish duration)...921 springs...8200rpm. Yeah...

Ok, so all the cars are 346-348cid correct? So,....

1. TSP
2. Lee (bad *** for a non-shop car!)
3. Thunder Racing

I'm gonna assume these 3 places will swap about 1,083 times before the Southern Shootout in the fall. Bottom line I guess is Lee killed F/S. TSP has the fastest NA 346-348cid and TR has the fastest NA HYD-CAM 346-348cid. All bad *** cars!

What was the setup on the Thunder car and the Texas Speed car? Lee posted his, the suspence is killing me. The #'s these guys are putting down is awsome. I just wish I went down the same path a year ago.
