Dont know how many inches but I pulled them on Radials last Wednesday night. Prolly like 4-5 inches. 1.481 60' on 275/60/15 MT Drag Radials.

If the car is set upo correctly you dont want to pull them all that much. You want to car to go out not up.

I've pulled mine a couple inches on the plain old 275/40/17 Nittos. That's leaving off the transbrake at 3800 rpms.

why do you always talk about putting things on the bumper madman? honestly, the other chasis guys i've talked to wouldn't even mention setting a car up to put it on the bumper since that would be a huge mistake. why is it that you seem to take pride in sitting a car on the bumper when that is the most unaffective thing that can possibly be done? just curious on how you see this.

5-6" consistantly. a couple of "oh shats" then the car broke loose or i let out. A guy that i run with here allmost went on the bumper but saved it. it crushed a few header tubes on the way down. We both are running the MT DR 325/50/15.

Its called PRIDE. I have alot of confidence in making any cars suspension work. Yeah putting one on the bumper isnt the quickest way down the track but if you havent been on the bumper you havent gone to the extreme to hook your car.

that has to be the dumbest thing i've heard, you wouldn't say that "if you havn't been on the bumper you might have just set it up right the first time?" how come there are guys that go out and cut 1.30 60' times on true 10.5s and never pull the tires more than 6-12" and hook perfect, guess they're doing something wrong.

Thread is Asking if you "have" lifted em. No more of your bitching, it may not be the most efficent way to get down the 1/4 mile, but its ******* amazing to see a 3200lb car on 2 wheels.

yeah, that car sat on the bumper and only destroyed a set of headers, oil pan, and probably some more parts. not to mention ******* the bumper up. lifting the tires is cool, i've done it and it was pimp, but sitting it on the bumper because you don't have the knowledge to setup your car correctly is NOT cool or fun, or funny...

Actually, if I remember reading right, all he did was bang the headers up a little. But I'm sure in most cases, going that high will cause a lot of damage. I would like my tires to go up about 6"s on launch. Enough for show but still good for time and no broken parts(most of the time at least).
