Default Pics of lift off hoods, slicked firewalls

I wanted to see how some of you guys did your mounts for 1/4 turns.

Not sure if I should do a rail down each side or individual mounts.

I was going to do 5 on each side 2 in back 4 on the front

Also need pics of slick firewalls, esp. the area where the wiper motor went....

Thanks, Mike

I have a question for those of you that have cut your firewall overhangs off. What are you all doing with the support bracing that is inside the overhang right next to where the center wiper arm bolts on. Can it be cut out completely or does it serve a purpose? Thanks.

I'm a little confused on how you could have done nothing to it? If you cut the overhang off in front of the windshield you have to at least cut some of this brace off. I can get a pic if you would like.

Heres a pic of the support. If you trimmed everything back to the glass you would clearly have to cut it.

Nine Finger: How stury is the metal where your windshield mounts now on the bottom? With that support cut out and nothing holding the windshield metal it seems like it would not be sturdy at all.

Seems fine to me and I actually cut while the motor was in which is why it looks kind of hacked. If you have ever noticed how much glue is used to hold the windshield on it is strong which in turn supports that area. And it doesn't seem any weeker since cutting it.
