Glad to see you got the car running that fast Phil, sucks about the motor trouble. **** happens... that's arcing, good luck getting it going. Didn't check the 10000 pages of the post, but you got a link to a video of that thing flying?

How is that even possible....stock = as produced right...so if its >stock then it grew
manf tolerances,havent seen one yet at the blueprint height

Curious why didn't the engine builder check the deck height? I'd think that would be standard with any build, deck height, piston to deck, if it was off it would be easily detected I would think.

alot of engine builders dont have the proper equipment to accurately measure deck height.The cnc def helps when it come to accurate measurements.You would be surprised how many blocks i find with the deck height off after they were already decked somewhere else.

that block comes with a semi finished deck height .020 over a "stock" LS motor. It's meant to be decked.

Yes the stock LSx comes with a 9.260 semi finished height. I told the previous machine shop to make it a stock deck and he said that he took .020 off each side but he did not use a CNC.

This motor should be about as tough as any LSx on the market. We're using the strongest crank available with probably the best rotating assembly for this setup.

All of the pics I have were labeled confidential but here is one that wasn't marked.

Man, at this point, we're 8-9 weeks away from our season opener. Its going back in the car as soon as its done.
