Default camaro vs dumdumdumdumdum

I have a camaro that run 11.56 @ 117.4

The neon srt that i am supposed to race this saturday says he will blow me doors off...He doesn't know my times.

I know that he has some bolt ons and a 35r turbo<---what turbo is that and how powerful is it?

I know i will kill him from a dig or 10 roll, but he also wants to do a 50 roll

With my trap speed i really don't think i have much to worry about but i just want to know what his car may be capable of, so lets say he has basic bolt-ons and the 35r turbo.

This will be video taped saturday so look for it sunday on here.

this kid braggs alot about killing v8's so we make a little bet on it $50.

Tell me what you know about the dumdumdumdumdum with the combo i listed

LOL...that never gets old

From a dig, he will be destroyed, from a roll, i think it will be close. Depending on what he has done he could be 400+ fwhp

that turbo with that car, he could very easily trap 130+ in the 1/4. those things can be nasty when u start getting into 50 trims and higher, and dont be suprised if he hangs with u from a dig unless u have a tire, cause believe it or not they do very well for being front wheel drive cars from a stop

I think it will be a good race. He'll put up a close fight.

EDIT: On the 130 traps...

If you want to know what i think about this, its this: Dont underestimate those cars man, those little 4banger turbos are quik, especially with a gt35R on it. They got top end , but so do we. That turbo spools really quick and around 50mph is his powerband. Are you going to be on radials or is the neon going to? Good luck man, Smoke that little skittle!

EDIT: On the 130 traps...
WERD i mean come on 130 with that hair dryer....dumdumdum is right, i dont think so...that would be dang near 550 ish HP and almost running 10.2s...using a slide rule...u fail at estimating trap speed. if they had that HP, they would still trap crappy because all they would do is burn and burn

I seriously doubt that is "just" a turbo upgrade....i am not arguing the fact that they can trap like that, just the fact of having just the turbo upgrade and nothing else. anything can go fast...im arguing semantics

Most 4 bangers of similar displacement usually put down low 400 whp(on 93) with that turbo. His car is a bit lighter than yours as well. I think it'll be a pretty close race. Unless he rolls out with slicks you definitely got him from a dig but from a roll it could be interesting.

Know someone with an Evo 8, GT35r some big cams made 427 awhp @ 18 pounds.

Got another friend with a KA-T(S13) setup GT35, some BC cams he's also aiming for around 420ish rwhp.

The more I think about it the more I think you have no chance from a roll if he's legit. Good luck.

This will be moved soon. There is a bench racing section in the lounge. Post up the results here when you race him though.

Can't wait to see the results and what kind of power he is putting down. If he's low 400s to the wheels like everyone is saying, he'll probably pull you from a roll because he's a bit lighter, but he also has to be able to hook up. From a dig you should be able to get him in a marked out 1/4 if you can drive and he's not on slicks, but we need more details on tires and driving ability for both cars. Definitely get it on video.

Oh yeah, and are you betting the $50 on the dig race or the roll race? Do yourself a favor: get some sticky tires and mark out a 1/4 mile, then bet the $50 on that race. You may be in trouble from a roll (coming from someone who also traps 117), but don't let that make you nervous. Just drive the ***** off your car and hope for the best! Worst case you lose both dig and roll and that $50 loss is now your incentive to mod up some more.

I will be on street tires he will be on mickey thompson. If you go on dragtimes.com and search the dumdumdumdumdum you will find the best 60 with slicks to be 1.70... i cut a 1.599 on 245 nittos.

your 11.5 will kill him from a dig even on the street probably. but be carefull of racing him on slicks and you on street tires. what tires did you run the 11.5s in? I would come with those on. I have seen several evos here in the area that are HEAVILY modified as far as drivetrain, trans, fuel cell, etc with the gt35r and the are high 10 sec cars on hight boost and race gas. 400ish wheel is dead on for that turbo, but closer to a max than standard. be carefull from a 50 roll, if he knows how to brake boost the car it will run around the equivelant of a 400-425ish whp full interior fbody.

he PROBABLY will not be on race gas, and @ 15lbs PROBABLY does not have the supporting mods to maximize that turbo. Hes probably closer to the 340-350 wheel tops, if your making a solid 375wheel and matching or more torque you will get the jump and have enough to hold him off.

And seriously 130 traps speeds???? from JUST a tubo upgrade. Even I would drive one of those if that were the case... c'mon man... thats 30+ mph from a turbo upgrade, not gonna happen

*if you really wanna win through a little juice on it for good measure*
