ls1 intake and ls6 intake questions??

Default ls1 intake and ls6 intake questions??

just one question actually how can u tell apart a ls1 intake from a ls6 intake because i bought a previously modded car and cant tell the diffrence

1. Open hood
2. Look at part number on top of manifold on the driver's side, under fuel rail, about halfway.
3. Compare to part numbers listed below.

LS1 intake manifold, with EGR (98-00 F-body) = 12561269 (formerly 12560688)
LS1 intake manifold, no EGR (from 97-00 Corvette) = 88894095 (formerly 12557846, 12556333)
LS6 intake manifold (01-02 F-body) = 88894339 (formerly 88890524, 88890523, 12561184)
LS6 intake manifold (from Corvette Z06) = ? (formerly 12573572)

i cant find my part number is there another way 2 tell or a pic of the exact spot of the part number

It should be stamped into it. If it's not there......maybe it's an aftermarket intake???

dammit! i have the worst one well atleast i know it will be worth the money 4 the ls6 intake also im getting gears soon im gonna have a friend of mine install them so it will be free and thats why ill be able 2 afford them

Don't go cheap on gear installs......unless that guy knows 100% what he's doing...pay to play when it comes to gears. Gears installs can be finiky and need to be aligned correctly or you could have major issues later.

he did the ones on his f150 he put 410s in are my gears alot harder?
