Default 02 WS6 Vs 02 Z06

I have an 02 WS6 (mods in sig) and I have just been challenged by a stock 02 Z06 to a race. Should it be a good race down to the driver or am I just gonna get raped?

I think you would loose, if its stock and he can drive he should take you pretty easy up top. If he can't drive however and you were a manual I would say go from a roll and it might be close, they put down around 350rwhp stock, but they are lighter so its hard to say. You will prob. loose though

Apparently he is new to the LSx scene and just got the car a few days ago and I don't think he is to familiar with it yet. Any hint on what would be a bad roll for him (if there is one) and a good one for me being an A4? I know were gonna go from a dig at least once and I'm hoping he won't know how to launch and I can take advantage of that.

Yeah your gettin walked. Bone stock 02-04 c5 z's can run consistant low 12's and they're even harsher from rolls. Your best bet is put the bottle on your car, set of slicks, 3500ish stall, and hope he isnt a 6spd drivin badass. lol

Just found out that his previous vehicle was an 05 Auto Mustang GT. So looks like the odds maybe on my side that the doesn't know what it's like to drive a fast car....J/K.....but seriously

I owned a 02 ws6 before and i have a 2002 z06. There is no way the vette should loose. If the vette looses than the driver should be shot. (lol) there is more power in the vette and it is much lighter. . Good luck!

Your not going to get "raped" but you most likely will loose. A dig is probably your best bet because your a a4, a roll will just make you loose more, he has more power and lighter and better aerodynamics then you do. A dig is your best bet but you will probably loose by 2 cars or something like that. You need a cam to be even with c5z06s or c6's

I've got a cam on my wish list but the next thing to go in my car is the set of 3.73 that I've had sitting in my garage since I've owned the car. Then a TC before I get a cam.

go from a dig if you want a chance. I raced a stock c6 a few months ago which are about as fast as the c5 zo6 and lost by a car from 30-80. Everytime he shifted i gained back about 1/2 car. Had to be the worst shifter ever. BTW my car runs the same as yours 12.9@108 to give you an idea.

Going by what you're running now, I'd say add the stall, gears, a good set of tires, and challenge him from a dig. Providing he really is stock, I suspect you'll give him ALL he can handle.

If you put the squeeze to him with maybe some radials from a dig. You'll probly get him if he's like most of the 05 up mustang kids. What are you runnin him from a dig or roll?

Probably some of both. Start off with some dig runs and move on to some rolls.
