Will this be enough to take these cars down?...
I Have an 02 A4 ws6 ram air package Trans Am, With a mild cam (comp cams), w/ valve spring kit, Edelbrock shortys Headrs, no Cats, flowmaster 80 exhst, SLP Lid w/knN filter. And a pretty decent driver...
Should this be enough to Take down a SC Cobra??? And what do you estimate My Total Horse Power to be if the T/A has 325 stock???
Im very excited, getting my car out the shop with all these mods done, with fresh silver paint, and a few black stripes.
Be a good sport and post your opinions, THANKS!!!

Yeah, I'd say a stock one you could probably pull on, but then again, there are really not many of them out there at all that are still stock. I think if you ran into the average pullied/bolt-on Cobra, you would have some trouble with it.

Bolt ons will take a stock one down..... If you can find one that will race and stock. Most people that will run at minimum have a smaller pulley/cai/tune (450+Rwhp in most cases).
You need a converter. I would keep the stock 3.23s.
Add a cutout, very cheap and should be a nice gain. Why did you get shortys over LTs?

259/265 is not a mild cam, with small lift?
check the specs again..
mild LS1 cams are usually 224/224 with 580/580 lift...
to answer your questions, a decent cammed LS1 can beat a stock 03-04 cobra without issue.
it will be a drivers race, and traction race, unless its from a roll.
as mentioned above, a pulley swap and tune on a cobra makes it a new car in the HP dept

The dyno will actually read that you lost power. Just like if you add a steep gear ratio (ie 410s), a built 9" rear, etc...
You need to get the HP wins out of your head. A better setup car will ALWAYS outperform a poorly setup car.
With a converter (I recommend a minimum of 3600) you will probably dyno around 10Rwhp less. However, if you go with a nice company (PTC/Yank/Precision Ind./Circle D/etc), you should knock near a full second off of your ET and gain 1-3mph.
It should be THE FIRST MOD to all autos.

Ran out of cash to do more mods to the exhst... Waiting a bit to do an x pipe with lt's. Full exh is kind of xpnsv. Just spent around 1400 in parts. Not to mention labor, and the paint job.

A decent cammed ls1 should DESTROY a stock 03. No offense to op, but it is not decent.

I ran a 03-04 last week, a local guy who runs around a messes with everything that has wheels. He talks his car up alot, though i have not talked to him in person. His car is nothing to take lightly, sounds mean as you can get. We hit it on a back road and i pulled at least 2-3 car lenths at to 115. Of course as soon as i let off he went flying around, so i am waiting to meet up around town and see what he has done and what he thought of the race. My car is cammed, headers, mild ported heads, and fast 90/90 setup.

259/265 is probably at .000 Most cams are spec'd at .050, which is why you see smaller numbers such as the T-Rex at 244/248 @ .050 That cam at .000 is MUCH larger. If the OP has a 259/265 @ .050, he would definitely know it. That big of a cam in 346 cubes would probably not even start.
exactly what I was thinking....
I barely ever see people talk with .000 cam specs so I didnt catch it at first, thought maybe his shop screwed him.
I'm running the SI5 - 231/237 595/595 112
231/237 at .05.... at .000 its 279/285 in my 346.
his 259/265, is small cam at about 206/212 at .05. It will be a good race with a 03/04 cobra, but would still be a good stealthy at DD cam.
a converter would be a great add to the car!
I would not recommend my cam or any cam 224 or larger for DD.

The springs push rods etc add no power..
