Default stalled ls1 vs bolt on tuned 2011 mustang.

guy with a full exhaust, cold air intake, tune, possible 50 shot of nitrous is calling me out..... then i find out its a v6.....

my car has bolt ons, 3.23s, 3800 stall, frost tune.

Everyone I know says I should beat him, but im not one to act cocky, especially since some of the newer v6s make decent power. I heardx a rumor of a 50 shot, but its probably bullshit. hes claiming 360 rwhp, becasue its a six speed. that seems a tad high, but if thats true, then itll be a good race. what do you guys think the outcome will be?

btw, this is a "revenge" race because I informed his friend who has a tired 305 monte ss, that his car was slow, and when he buts in his smog era 454 from a late 70s truck that it wont be much better....

I got a 01 3600 stall with long tube headers lid and tune and i put down 335rwhp n 350rwtrq. plus that mustang is a few hundred pounds heavier than your car. even if he has a 50 shot on it you should beat him those V-6's are slow hell the Huyndai Genesis V-6 is faster than the V6 Mustang. You should def race him from a dig with a good set of tires if I was you id put money on it like 50 bucks. I wouldn't roll race till you got heads and cam but even then id still do more dig races than roll races. Hope this helps.

The only way you have any chance of losing is if you can't leave on your tires from a dig but you should still be able to catch him by the 1/8th and pass him. From a low roll it will be absolute murder.

His car might run a mid-low 13 if he is an excellent driver and does have a 50 shot. If he doesn't have nitrous racing him is a waste of gas.

What bolt ons do you have? If you mean headers and exhaust with the stall and a tune you should go deep 12s on a decent tire.

My car "should" hit a high 11, with a tire, in good air. I was pretty polite, he's a punk *** kid, I'd like to go from the speed thall embarrass him the most.

I agree i need better tires and i know then ill have a better time im running low 13's right now on crappy tires and to be honest I aint that good at the strip but working on it tho. really just want to fix my car first and then get the drag radials before i practice at the strip.

I have a stock 6SPD 2000 SS with a lid and headers.I still have an ls1 intake on it.One of my friends just got a 2011 5.0. His car is a 6spd and is stock except mufflers.It has the factory performance package with 3.73 gears.We ran them from about a 40mph roll on the highway. I pull him about a half a car on the kick and held him there. My car is stock with 182k miles except for the headers and lid.I can't see the v6 car doing better than this.

"in a street race no1 runs a 50 shot" ...lololol...the new v6 are impressive for a 6 but i really dont think u have anything to worry about, just run him... who cares if u lose, there's always some1 faster

I told you my results and I doubt it is that fast but remember anything can happen in a street race.

He is either running a 150shot or he is dumb enough to think the 300hp rating from the factory is at the wheels instead of the crank so he is adding his 50shot and bolt ons to the 300hp.

Good answer on the "lose to a six" comment.

I think it's a mixture of being stupid, added up advertised rwhp, and lying. I'm goin to try and race him soon. What's the best speed to really hurt his feelings?

Any Speed really if the new 5.0 cant beat a barely modded Ls1 F-Body then race him from a dig and video it to post it up on youtube and if he thinks he can beat you from a roll then video that race too that way everyone can see him loose.

Ok, update, got his mod list.

headers, orx pipe, pypebomb catback, intake, tb, 3.73s, underdrive pullies, tune, and short shifter. hes claiming 360 rwhp from those mods. sounds steep to me.

Those V6's put down in the 240ish rwhp range stock if I'm not mistaken. He's prob round 280-290rwhp with those mods if that.

You'll take em dude. Its just a V6. Tell him hes a lil bitch and his car is gay afterwards.

Cliffs: 2011 V6 baselines 224rwhp, exhaust/tune/intake gets 30rwhp.

Unless his headers and pullies got him 100hp he is so full of **** it hurts.

Lmao. I wanna race him bad. He's talking down to everyone from lt1s to supras. I wanna hand him his ***, then possibly bitch him out in front of his girlfriend for being a tough guy to 17-18 year olds who just go their first car.
