Hey guys,
Curious as to what some of you think I will ET and trap in my 1980 Firebird. The car makes 425rwhp and 427rwtq (on the dyno the car never made under 400lbft from start to finish so the curve is very flat). I'm guessing the car is 3700lbs with me in it (AC removed and aluminum heads and no power options), and has a TH350 with 3.08 posi. Running on street tires 275/40 BFG KDW TA II's. Stall might be slightly higher than stock so maybe 1800-2000.
I'm setting the car up to turn, but curious what it will trap. I plan on going to the 1/4 mile on the 2nd of March for a test n tune run. I've made 100+ passes but with less powerful cars and manuals to boot. I'm not used to all this torque and launching an auto so this will certainly be a learning experience.
Any guesses are appreciated!

I'm thinking that's more likely especially the mph. I want the car to trap higher but I'm just not sure it's going to do that. I might be off with the weight of the car because it has aluminum heads, headers, and intake manifold, AC delete, and no power options save power steering. It might be closer to 3600lbs with me in it.

Fwiw... a friend of mine ran 11.8 @120mph w/ 1.8 60' in a full weight '87 Z28 with LT1 swap, auto, 2000 stall and 3.73 gear. His car was right around 420whp & 430wtq, but he had a couple rear suspension upgrades and Nitto DR's. Without the DR's and suspension parts, he wouldn't have been anywhere near that 11.8 @120.

Oops... I looked right past the stock suspension part. You won't 60' for crap with that and street tires. I'll drop nearly a full sec and 5mph, 12.8 @114. My guess is assuming with good air.

I assume the same thing ahaha. I used to own a 2000 Z3 M Coupe that I could pull 1.8 60fts all day long but it was a manual and only made 220rwhp. This is much tougher ahahaha.

You were just about right with your first guess. With a crappy 60ft I managed a 12.1@118.5mph on street tires. I did change out the manifold so I jumped up a little more in power by about 14rwhp but with some more practice I would've ran that 11.9 pretty easily.
