Yeah just knee cap insurance lol we wouldnt want to know what a flywheel etc at 7500+ rpm feels like slicing thru the tunnel and chopping everything in half. On a more positive note congrats on getting everything together again so quickly - looking forward to seeing you put down some nice, consistent numbers again

Thas the cool thing with the blower, car runs exactly the same with or without the trans brake. Plus the 2 step is set at like 2000rpm usually and I can sit at the starting like for 10 minutes on the 2 step/brake and it doesnt even get warm

The ultrabell keeps the flywheel from slicing through and the blanket keeps the forward/direct drum in the trans from doing a hand grenade impersonation I wish they made a one piece case/shield like a glide for a TH400, blankets are somewhat of a pain and not something I would use on a daily driver of course. But I have seen a couple fywheels/transmissions explode over the years and it isnt pretty.

Last batch of pics for this thread, its done and running, if the weather is decent I'll make a few passes this weekend. Drove it around a little today to get a rough tune in it and it drives great. Nothing to do now except drag it to the track and beat it up a little.

I'll make a new post after its made a few passes..

Not very often I get this lucky. Kinda bummed when you got rid of the black car. Haven't been in here much lately, and I get to read the whole thread . And now a formula firehawk! Not many of those around. LOL Looks amazing. I love it. Can't wait to see how she runs.

My old 347 was 9.5:1, I doubt that .3:1 will make much difference. Since they are off the shelf pistons it is what it is..

I believe he said in the begining that he was going to run a Magnafuel 4303 fuel pump.

Sounds good kp! What muffler are you running? It sure is quiet.

its a 4303 magnafuel pump, they seem to get a little quiter after they run for a while.

Muffler is a 3" magnaflow oval, its pretty quiet at idle but its loud as hell WOT, its just a straight through muffler.
