Not good! Luckily our H2 has a 4L80E that we had RPM Transmissions build up. Bob

Update: The truck throttle body is causing us the problems that are discussed above. We were at 525 rwhp with the converter unlocked at about 5000 rpm when the throttle body shut it down. We have an LS2 throttle body at the shop that we'll get machined to fit. Thanks Joe for the info!

This truck sounds like it doesn't like being tied down to the dyno, this thing is an angry beast! Bob

Did you replace the 6 speed with the 80E?

So are we! lol When the throttle slammed shut at wot as you said it probably would, the blower belt came off. We then found the water pump pulley had also come off! We order a new water pump, and have patiently been waiting all week for it to arrive. We have been promised that we will have it this morning, I sure hope so, as it has been very frustrating to say the least.

His patience may be better than mine if we don't get the new water pump this morning! Bob

thats a hell of a SETUP. A 700+ rwhp hummer....lol.
I can just imagine a hummer pull up next to me at a light... hearing the thump of the cam, the slight whine of the blower. I am sure just as i started to think "what the hell has been done to this thing" the light would turn and those big monster truck tires would go up in smoke for a good 100 feet. lol. I would love to see that, and love it ever more if i owned it.

Yes it is a monster! Here is a short dyno video of it up to 4700 rpm. Bob

TIG Weld the pulley to the shaft on the water pump. We had one come off on the dyno and it wasnt fun with it running around after us. haha

Sorry I missed your call today, I tried calling back and left a message. Give me a call when you get a chance.

Will do on tig welding the pulley to the shaft, we installed a new water pump and the same thing happened. We have even tack welded the pulley to the shaft on the new pump. Thanks. Bob

Mine was TIG Welded in October of 2007 and it has never moved again. It is welded all the way around on the front face of the shaft, where the shaft meets the pulley.

We only tacked the pulley in four spots to the shaft, will do on tig welding it all the way around. Thanks. Bob

We welded up the water pump shaft and I took a little video of the truck as we were warming it up and refilling the radiator. Bob

Thanks, with any luck we will finish up on the dyno today. The water pump pulley is now fully welded to the water pump now. We've now removed the water pump more times than I care to remember. Bob
