Photo's needed for Upcoming F-Body Book
Want to see your car or engine setup in a book? I am currently looking for a few 4th Gen F-body images that you may be able to help with. Rather than looking for a few local cars to use, I will extend the image pooling to my friends on LS1tech. List of images needed to follow this description.
Photos needed:
1993-2002 Camaro and/or Firebird being worked on (could be car in the air with one wheel off or in the shop with hood open so we can see the engine, etc.) If somebody is in the shot doing work, great, but it's not necessary. Car should be in a nice workshop/garage setting for publication if a "working" shot. Clean crisp images preferred, no iPhone images, toy camera, etc. Cannot use one-off custom parts, but can use individual component pics of separate components. Mostly looking for "kit" type images, that anyone can purchase and install without extensive fabbing.
Current Forced Induction Images Requested:
Please send submissions to:
lsx-images@sbcglobal.net
* Please send smaller images first, if I can use the image, I will email you back to get the full size, and to keep track of everything... I like images in the 2-4MB range, and using at least a 6MP camera so I can crop/edit as needed without pixellating the image too much.
Thanks!
Upcoming Book Title:
1993-2002 Camaro and Firebird Performance Hand Book
Description:
Few cars can offer the mix of performance, style and affordability as can the 4th generation Camaro and Firebird. While the cars are great as delivered, there is no shortage of aftermarket parts and modifications that can be made to further enhance the cars' capabilities. Author and F-body expert Joseph Potak guides the reader through the often confusing task of choosing the best parts for the way they actually use their car.

vipvegas: Yes that would be appreciated if you have time. Both compressor side and turbine side would be an excellent addition if you can.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Chad, I'll take a look at your thread pretty soon. MadIce, yea I would like to check out both the Procharger and FLP Trans pics. I have exactly 11,411 install and engine assembly images on my laptop, but none of a clean "aftermarket" transmission setup or buildup.

Definitely interested in that, I know it is hard to see anything from the engine bay without removing anything. Maybe if you can snap some of the D1 (poss. from the bottom showing the crank pulley and head unit). If you can see your FMIC from the front, that would make a good shot from about ground level I'd think depending on how high the car is on jackstands.
Thanks!
If these work, I think the Procharger setups would be well covered. Think a Vortech underhood shot would be a good addition if anyone has access to one (I have not seen one in about 6 years myself). I have some uninstalled random turbo stuff in the garage as a last resort for the turbo "kit" pics.
