Couple things I am contiplating now, is putting the fuel cell in front but I'd like to put it near the firewall somewhere if possible, just dont want the car to turn into a "Fireball" (no pun intended) if I ended up nose first in the wall. I bought the Peterson external belt driven oil pump and the waterman mechanical fuel pump that I can either bolt to the back of the oil pump, or cable drive it, I thought that covered all options at that point no matter what I decide. Also, I want to run a radiator as well, but now thinking about just putting another Chiseled water tank in the back to feed water to the engine and have no radiator, otherwise I'll do what JL mentioned and put it on the drivers side nose area, or turn it horizontal and put it somewhere under the front. IC goes in the car.

thats why NHRA requires you put a 1 1/4" bar in front of the fuel cell to protect it (if outside the frame rails)

Only a 2.5 gallon fuel cell? Heck the fuel will not last very long on a Saturday cruise

I assume you will running C-16 (or Q-16)? I weighed the cost of C-16 (at @$16 a gal) or E-98 (at @$2 a gal). The E-98 will double the use, but at 2 gal per run on C-16 vice 4 gal of E-98 per run ($32 vice $8). My tunner has gotten a lot of power out of the E-98 and we don't run any events that I couldn't run E-98. If we get our **** together hopefully we'll switch to C-16 and go the next LSX event.

Good luck with the build

I thought about that too, running 2 water tanks in the back of the car, one with water for the engine and one for the intercooler, and ditching the radiator all together, I know a couple people that are doing that and it works, they drain the water tank and just fill it back up with cool water after a run from teh track water supply, and they put a filter on the pickup for the water pump, so no dirt gets in the cooling system.

I dunno though, that's alot more line to run to the back of the car and whatnot... not sure if I want to go down that road, seems like alot of line, and weight.

I am heavily weighing the intercooler internally in the cabin vs putting it in the nose. I really would like to put it in the nose to keep the plumbing simple, but if it's going to be too much weight up there I can put it in the car, just more plumbing to run. If it goes in the car, mine as well put it on the tunnel in the back, so it's centralized, and run the 2 charge pipes up the center, I ditched the center console so that's not a problem, with what I'm doing with the cowl, it wouldn't be the end of the world to just face the Tb backwards, then run the charge pipe up thru the hvac delete.... I just figured the less charge pipe the less area that had to be pressurized before the motor saw boost.

Anyone have a take on that, does the actual length of the charge piping cause any type of delay with the engine seeing max boost, to the point that it effects performance?

Madman's manual rack installed...Big thanks for a quality kit that fits great (although drilling the knuckles for a 5/8" bolt sucked pretty bad). I also custom built my own steering shaft (Madman provided the u-joints).

maybe it's a long drive to the staging lanes.

I think we burn just over a gallon.

That's warm-up, going up to the lanes, the run and back to the pits. The idiots at the track have no idea how to call cars up. I've never measure it - maybe its only 1.5-1.75 gals.

Nice work of the steering set-up.

Those bastards are heavy huh? I cant wait till I get some paint on the floor so I can mount that thing for good. It is a procedure just moving it in and out.
