got some more stuff done.
cut the cowl back to the windshield and installed a sheetmetal blockoff...got the top part welded...need to do the bottom still...I HATE SHEETMETAL WORK!!!
mounted one of the spill plates on the wing...still need to shape it some to make it aesthetic
mounted the master disconnect and started on the dual parachute mount (pull point). I'm waiting on hardware to mount the chutes...should have early next week

the side panels are "spill plates" and they are part of what makes the wing work to create downforce...

It is what it is. I'll do what has to be done, same as everyone else that's learned from scratch.
I mean yeah sure I could pay someone to just tune it and be done with it, I mean Job Spetter's a big check away if I wanted to do that route.... but I'd rather not have my **** locked so I can't change anything when I need to.
Not whining.. just stating it's gonna make for a long friggin process. Is what it is... chances are the whole gear driven supercharger won't even work/make the power I hope it will anyway. Hell I can see getting this whole thing done and not going a lick faster.

Once you start going pretty fast and are trying to squeeze eveything out of a setup, it is never really "done" until it blows up. In order to be able to play at this level, you have to either have the tuning skills required to tweak your own setup (regardless of whether it is computer controlled, mechanical or both), or you have to have someone in your crew that can do it. To have to pay for a tuner to go out with you once a week to get **** dialed is unrealistic. Specially thanks to little unexpected bullshit bugs that can end your night in a hurry.
The internet is a vast wealth of knowledge. I taught myself how to tune about 3 years ago. Spent many hours reading. Boring reading. The first thing that I would suggest that someone new to tuning do is compile a list of acronyms as you are reading and get their definitions. That's the most confusing part when trying to follow along or actually understand WTF they are talking about. Start with the a good understanding of the main tables and then work your way over to the millions of modifier tables as they apply to the main tables that you just got an understanding of (broke all grammar rules). I think that learning on an aftermarket system would have been an easier place to start. Much less complicated. Hind site is 20/20.

Almost to a T...took some creative cutting and massaging to get it to all fit together...if the turbo was 1-2" more forward it would have been a piece of cake I think trying to keep the two legs somewhat equal will help in the long run for tuning balance
