changed my mind...mounted the radiator where I originally wanted it...I can get it high enough to snake a 4" exhaust pipe underneath it...probably should clearance the shroud some...its pretty close to the hot pipes...but its just a shroud

expansion tank is an enclosed vessel that has a large line on the bottom that goes to the radiator. ON a LS motor, you typically would run the return line from the heads to the side of the expansion tank. there is a rad cap on top of the tank. when the rad cap opens due to pressure, the pressure is pushed into an overflow tank...just like the stock rad does.
That is just what my system is. I have not put on the over-flow tank yet, but will have one. Each head has 2 lines from them to the expansion tank (which has the rad cap on it).

I see in your later post you are going to change it to the more traditional stand up. We ran out of room to stand it up.

Good luck. Your build looks like it is coming along nicely. Great work. A lot of work done and still more to come.

Damn Brian, there isn't anything left in the front half. It should be easy to work on - if need be.

Finally got my beast run and running. God it sounds and feels great to here her roar. Believe it or not, it was not all that loud.

I use thermotec wrap...that way I can still easily patch weld if needed...
