11.1 or 11.5 compression any good for boost???
im building a forged 370 iron block and want the compression around 11.1. my question is will a 11.1 motor be ok with 10-15 lbs of boost out of a turbo? not to familiar with the forced induction set ups. all i know is the lower the compression the more boost you can run. but im not tryin to run something crazy like 28 lbs or something. so any info would be great. thanks everyone.

Here is an APS Firehawk we built that has an 11.0/1 engine. I agree with what everyone has posted, I would drop the compression ratio down into the 9.5/1 range. Bob

the car is gonna be a street car. not really a dd but if i want to dive it i just want to jump in and go. since i live in california the only turbo set up i can use is the sts rear mount set up since it has a CARB legal #. the motor will be around 10.8 cr but when i mill the heads will bring it around 11.1-11.5 depending on how much i mill them. heads will be TEA cnc ported 243 castings or the PRC 215 castings. i will be using a tpis LS6 ported manifold as well. and will be keeping my exhaust manifolds on the car. will be ported. all smog parts hooked up as well.
