I'm running a tc 78 with a 3 inch dp.makes 670 hp and 705 ftlbs through a stalled auto and 9 inch.its pretty much maxed at 16psi on my 348. Is there anything out now that is physically the same size but can make more power.i think I need another 40hp to hit nines.

I have several customers in the High 9's with the TC78 on 346-370ci engines. I wouldnt rule the turbo out just yet.

PTE 76 is alitte bigger in physical size but will produce quite a bit more hp.

Its your basic forged 348 with 670 ish to the tire.I'm running a tbrake and launching off 9lbs.i went 10.4@133 with a 1.66 60ft.still running stock springs and shocks.I'm going to put a 28 inch tire instead of the 27 I was running with qa1s on it and see what happens.I'm very happy with the turbo but I think another 40hp would make 9s alot easier. Not sure on the back pressure,,3 inch dp with cutout.

Alex your car is so heavy you should be able to hook a 9.9 pass on a 26 inch tire.
Next time you run, figure out if you are spinning or not leaving on enough power. Maybe you need a bigger spring in the waste gate?

Nothing will drop in that is the same exact size. The 76 and 78GTS are a good bit larger.

I've gone 9.8 on my my full weight fbod with the tc78. It is completely maxed out as far as back pressure. I tried a 50 shot & got some pretty good blow by out of my valve cover vent.
Mine is a .96 AR. I wonder how much it would help going to a larger AR?
