Man that is the only thing keeping me from going the e85 route.

I still enjoy driving my car and I know the price of the fuel can offset the usage of more fuel with e85 but stopping every 100 miles to fill up would suck *****. Maybe your running really rich right now also? I'd also think to feed that much turbo and those injectors your prolly not going to get more than 10mpg maybe 12-13 on the highway. If your getting into boost a lot then mpg will suck also.

Hopefully its because its untuned then. Cause damn that was a expensive short cruise.

Totally worth it when you give it a little gas and hear that big bitch start whistling at you though

long term fuel trims. The fuel that's added or subtracted while you hit a certain cell that the computer has learned.

When I was a 6 speed, I tried E85 a few times. My MPG went from about 18-19 to ~16 with a Trex cam (cam only) on 3.73s mixed hwy/city....and it also included a trip to the track. The biggest help with E85 MPG was timing, and LOTS of it at cruise. I would cruise at about 55-60* of timing at cruise (~2200rpm IIRC) closed loop (computer would correct back to stoich). I'd expect an overdrive locked up to get around ~15 down the highway with a good tune if you have highway gears (typical turbo car gears anyway).

Like was said. The 25% loss in MPG is offset by the 25% reduction in price. 105 octane all the time...more tq/hp. When guys are buying c16 at the track for $8 a gallon I just pull off the street and up to the lights. And I average 200 miles/tank with room to spare.

I toggle my lock up with a switch mounted in the cigarette lighter location. So the computer isn't doing it for me, and I only do it after 50-55mph. I have 26.7" tires and 3.55's.

I was way impressed with the temps. Last night it was around 85* outside and the temp wial driving was 155-170. Trans temp was around 135-155. In town it got up to 192 then the fan kicked in and it fell right down to 179. Only took about 30 seconds for it to fall 13 degrees, so i think the cooling system is very streetable.

Im sure the c16 is way more expensive then that, the 108/112 may be around there.

I use a tank of e85 quick in my car. Not until Friday I finally got on the highway and cruised fo awhile I finally seen it didn't suck so much fuel down. But man anytime I'm in the throttle that thing sucks it down. Fast.

Dyno day was today. Got here all tuned out and running good. Car was on a 12% mustang dyno and had a little problems with tire spin, but after lowering the pressure to 15 psi, and 4 guys pushing on the back, it was better.....until we turned it up. here are 2 vids.

This on 7 PSI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fkxDMIHbK0

This on 14 PSI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZ_AWhDdArc

PROBLEMS

-in the second vid the fuel pressure went from 65 psi at WOT to 40 psi which is why it only got to 5700RPM. Im running -8 feed lines, think they are too small??????

-Spun tires on the dyno bad. Any know fixes to this problem?

-There are more, i will think of them and post tomorrow.

Overall i am super happy with it. Took it on a drive tonight and Holy mother F!!!!! I thought drugs and hookers were addictive!!!

So u have a 4301 pump. And use -8 lines. With e85. Iv made 670 on gas. With -8 and the 4301. Rc750cc injectors with a base psi of 70 I was at 102%dc. Got some 1k cc injectors now and at the same boost I'm at 88%. I just upgraded part of my fuel line to -10 to help with volume. The good thing about magnafuels 4301 is that it shares the same housing as its bigger brother the 4303. And it only cost $100 to have yours rebuilt to 4303 specs. And ide go bigger on the feed line because of the e85 needs 30% more volume then gas

"in the second vid the fuel pressure went from 65 psi at WOT to 40 psi which is why it only got to 5700RPM. Im running -8 feed lines, think they are too small??????"

you are right

On my car has 160 lbs injectors, -10 feed all the way to the rails, -8 return and a 1200 hp pump fuel pressure dropped from 50 to 35 psi and 700 rwhp

was told that I need to have 2000 hp fuel pump, 3/4 fuel rails and -12 feed and -10 return to support anything over 900 flywheel hp on e85 (switched back to c16 till this winter when i will upgrade the fuel system)
