Could I get a picture of the hole behind the hood? Am considering cutting the wiper supports/cowl away but I want to keep my factory hood. Thanks

nice build... I skimmed thru and saw u are running the 6061 elbow, are you running the VR Jr with it? Plan on runnin that combo with my build but see mixed results on how it fits, I dont want to cut anything. Did yours fit or did you have to cut anything?

I had to cut a 4"x3" hole out to fit it on a stock style WS6 fiberglass hood. No way around it that i could see. Im probably going to a edelbrock intake this winter, or a holley. So more cutting will come.

I will snap a pic for you tomorrow.

Here are the wiper/cowl delete pics with a VFN WS6 fiberglass hood.

Also the car ran like dick at the track last few times, so no real update. Im still battling the converter. Once fixed i will update.

Well i went out one last time for the year and gave her it all. First run pulled the best 60 ft ive ever gone in the car with a 1.38 off 7psi @ 4000 rpm. She hit 28 psi on that run and lost a little power. My windshield got sprayed with coolant. So i checked it over and the catch can was full. Said **** it and ran it again. She went about 400 ft then blew both head gaskets. So my season is done.

Am going to be doing some changes this winter for sure. One thing is new heads. I have a buddy with a set of AFR 225s that i am working on but i also thought about going rectangular port and using some better flowing LS3 heads, or LSA heads. What you guys think?

BTW this was not the first time i hit that boost level. Ive been well above 25 psi for the last 2 months with about a dozen pulls near 30 psi. She held up good for a wial, but now its time to upgrade. 30 psi feels WAY to good to not be able to go back to.

Damn man, I can't wait to see how she comes out next spring. I have 317's as well and I've been eyeballing a pair of tfs heads that I know of locally....I figure maybe jump on it now instead of later. I think you should go with the afr heads if possible.

I just want to be able to hold 30psi as she sits. Also thinking of a different cam, but i will need to call a few sponsors before i make that decision. The EPP FI cam works pretty damn good!

I can get you set up with the right cam for your set-up. I think sometimes some vendors miss the mark on these large single set-ups that need to breathe to take full advantage of the turbo being used.

I think a set of thick aftermarket deck cylinder heads like the AFR's you mentioned or TFS heads would be right up your alley.

Let me know if you want to talk about having a cam ground for you.
