I'm having trouble finding a 6.0 cheap to build, but I can get 5.3 all day to build for cheap. I'm in the DFW area. How much power have you made with your 5.3? What did you do to get it (cam, forged, heads, turbo size)? How much boost? Are people building 5.3? Are people building 5.3 out to 5.7? Please post your power numbers and builds.

I don't know how much power it made, but my 317 headed, LS6 cammed, 5.3 pushed my 4300 lb truck to 11.95@115 last year. If I would do it all over again, I would not swap to 317s. The drop in compression really hurt the response of the engine off of boost....which is pretty important, since I'm running a BW S400. That was at about 15 psi.

stock shortblock, 317 heads, 224/224 .580/.580 112 cam, 15psi, + 50hp nitrous. 640whp through a TCI streetfighter converter. Lasted 3 years and then spun a rod bearing. Everything else inside looked good.
My nova went 10.31 @ 131mph w/ 1.56 60ft. Weighed 3660lbs. 3.50 gears, 29.5" tall tires.

I have a cast iron 5.3 block bored to 3.905. Forged internals 9.5 cc with 317 heads. Running 18 lbs. of boost with D1SC and made 780 RWHP. This is a new set up from last years times, also using meth.

Parish went mid 9's @140 in a Low 3000lb fairmont with a stock 5.3, ls6 scam, and master T70. I thought that was pretty good. Another guy on here is going high 8's in a mid 2000lb car with an alum L33.

Actually the chambers are a little bigger. Also from I've read, they don't flow any better despite having larger valves (at least 241s anyway).
