I have been wanting to start this post for quite some time, but have been to busy to do it. I am now sitting at work and thinking about my car, so I decided to get this started. I am going to post somepictures that I happen to have at work and will start posting many more at home over the next couple of days and weeks. Alot of the ground work as performed by Madman. The block was built by ERL. The engine was built by Chris "Chicken Bone" Laquerre. Countless hours of fabrication, welding, installation, etc. were and are still being performed by me. This has been a four year undertaking. It was a 6.0 liter 402 ci iron block, over 1000HP twin turbo air to air intercooled monster on the street, but it became too unstreetable. I started converting it to a track only car in October 2009. In October 2010, we lifted a head on the dyno. It pulled the threads out of two head stud threads in the block. Thus, the work continues and the end is nearing. Feel free to comment or ask questions. With the end nearing, the excitement is causing me to finally throw this all out there and talk about it.

It is a 427 LS2 built by ERL, heads are Trick Flow from Total Engine Airflow and tweaked by Larry Meaux, injectors will be Moran 235cc, turbos are Garrett GT42R, intercooler will be air to water, twin Garrett 1000hp cores, rear end is Ford 9" Burkhart Chassis housing, Strange internals, stock suspension setup, Madman torque arm, Dedenbear powerglide, BS3, MSD boost controller with Co2, ....... get the idea? I am hoping the roll cage is not going to be sufficient, but I don't want to predict anything.

Yeah - radials. A few more recent pics. I had 56" of Garret air to air intercooling before. Just re-did the front end and put the Burkhart bumper support so I cna fabricate and install the new air ot water intercooler.

Two battery trays I made from scratch for the two 16 volt batteries. Also had to notch the fron subframes to access the turbo oil drain fittings. Radiator overflow tank located in the rear near the batteries, then dum to ground behind the rear tire.

Welded v band clamps on turbos and pic of frame notch from top after I painted it. I'm going to try to put as many pictures as I can because I was inspired by some others' build posts. Hopefully, I can inspire someone else to get to work and do it!

By the way, I am not car builder. I work in an office all day. I grew up hot rodding cars in the mid 80's and just returned to it a few years ago. I taught myself to MIG and TIG weld. Anyone can do this stuff. However, it does take money, unfortunately.

Battery trays being built. I thought of a better pattern for the clamp part of the tray, but I was almost done and to tired to start cutting and drilling again. I can do it in the future sometime.

Fuel and water cell built by Madman. Platform to go underneath fuel/water cell to elevate it some and level it out, built by me. Look where the water pump is mounted. Madman did an incredible job on this cell.

I figured I would violate a rule or two. The darn rules are difficult to decipher. Thanks for the heads up. I'll check into it asap, particularly since I just ran those darn fuel lines this past weekend. Bummer!
