thanks guys for all the props. turbodiesel and i have put alot of r&d work in this thing on the streets to get it at a safe power level to make it live. to answer some questions and pm's, we are spraying this thing on the transbrake on the line to get it to spool. we spray the whole way. data logging, it makes just shy of 25lbs with the nitrous. 20 w/out. the springs have been changed on the first video to prc .675. we ran the ls6 springs until about 2 weeks ago. the first video was the first runs on the new springs. we are only spinning this thing 64 to 6600. 3.08 rear gears. i drive this thing alot and dont like spinning the guts out of one on the highway to keep up with traffic. it is a 125 dry shot. we started around 50 and just worked up to it. the second video was with a 50 shot, 1.38 60', and after letting out and getting back in it, it ran a 6.45 @ 114. that was the ebay 67mm turbo. the boost was around 20. just some junk log headers out of mild steel that we built that we repair on a weekly basis. i will get some pics up soon. when we put the 6.0 in a few weeks, i want to build some stainless headers to cure the repair problem. lol.

i don't know what sch it is. just some tubing we had laying around. just the turbo side is the problem. for awhile the turbo weight was suspended on the header. so we cured that, and now it just finds a weak spot and blows a hole. controlled boost leak as we call it.lol the heat cycles are whats bad on the material. thats why now we want to go with stainless. just lessons you learn as you go i guess. when we first put this together we never thought it would be capable to do what it is. pass side header is 2.25 with 1.5 primaries and driver is 2.5 with 1.5's.

Sweet build guys! My brother just got his stock bottom end 5.3L with an 85mm turbo together this past month. Still has some little things to buy before taking it to the track but he is hoping to make some 5 second 1/8th mile passes in it as well.

I Just got a coupe amd looking to run a 5.3 turbo setup. Was expecting some 9's, but seeing somebody run 8's is killer. Wonder if I could get a large frame 76ish mm to beat on a 8 sec pass? Definitely going to investigate further.

your setup is badass, makes me a little scared about spool time for my car
I have a stock short block 5.3 with a 85mm 1.0ar t6 flange
Should have it on the dyno next week
Good luck on the record
I am after that same record
