Tested at Steele today with a customer getting ready for the big outlaw race in Valdosta. Spoke with the track owner in more depth and we could open this to more than a one day event.

That being said! Getting ready for a big race this coming weekend and will be on the road. If anyone is down at the Outlaw Radial Revolution race at SGMP say hello Will be there with the brightest metallic red coupe mustang at the event... and also the brightest green metallic coupe at the event LOL.

FYI I think you are limited to 1 motor per car. I may be wrong though.

I hope that does not become a rule. If I was gonna drive from Illinois or any long distance I would want to have a back up with me just in case. How upsetting would it be to scatter a motor during qualifying and not be able to run the race at all? Especially if you drove 10+ hours. I know it has been discussed that everyone should have a safe tune up but even safe tune ups can go bad when your talking about pushing a stock motor to its limits to set a record.

Just my opinion. Dont make that a rule.

it isnt a rule If you can swap a damn motor between rounds and get it done in time more power to ya. We have done it before in NMRA. Have a few customers with Multiple backup motors, very common in outlaw headsup racing

I went 8.68 at 164 on a REALLY slick track Friday night, I can see the stock shortblock record going 8.30's or so at this race!

yes. The website is up and running. The MAJOR rules that encompass both classes are posted on the first page. The only real difference between Outlaw and street is the weight split. Im running around like a wildman this week trying to get some rides ready for what is really the biggest and last race of the season this weekend.

The good news is that after speaking with the track owner we have alot of options as far as how big we can make this. Im literally checking weather data trying to see statistically when there is less rain in our area bewteen early april thru early may. ALL I know is last april our town was wiped off the map with an f4 tornado, that and I know all of the distance travelers coming need to plan far ahead.

Im not having rain mess it up and im going as far as making our chances as good as possible to get it done.

LOL. april showers bring may flowers.... but what do mayflowers bring? Pilgrams.

1.38 is all, turned way down due to the track not being prepped.

We broke Mike's Mustang Sat. on the first run at Topeka. Easy run set on 15 lbs.

No carnage, just something in side clunks, and the crank stops.

It will be back together very soon.

And we started on one of the other cars.

Sorry to hear about breaking, let us know what you find when you tear it apart, wonder if it just bend the crap out of a rod.

That looks like a nice chassis, that the 3rd gen? Should flat fly in it, with it being lighter than I am by a few hundred lbs I can see some deep deep 8's out of it.

Not a big loss on the motor, the oil did show some signs of abuse, before Topeka.

I'm sure we will post up the failure.

We, started working on the third gen. It might be ready by next april?

It's going to be pretty light, and it is a door car.

Why is eveyone always bringing up weight?

Any updates on rules, classes, etc.

The 31st is coming up fast.

Here is a couple pics of the 6.0 we broke, at Topeka, in the Mustang.

What causes that???

It seems that we are going to have to switch to a stronger rod stock short block, to go quicker at this weight.

Notice the stock rod bolts did not fail, but the rods did.

I think the LS2's came with the strongest rods per say offered in a LS platform, I may be wrong though that's just what I have heard.
