91 camaro twin turbo 5.3

Nothing wrong with next Summer B. I have been waiting since '03 to get my car done...and I just now started working on it...lol. When I decide to twin-turbo the Hayabusa for the heck of it, I will be coming to you for welding tips...and a prayer.

Well, if next summer is your goal, stick to it. Better to get it done right the first time. Mine took a few years, but it was my first ever swap and I procrastinated a lot. Now I see people do these inwhat seems like a month or two and I gotta wonder how. But seems like they're also the guys who can weld for themselves and have decent garages and that whole motivation and time thing.

more new parts acquired i know eventually I'm going to have to start putting these parts on the car lol now that the radiator is here i can cut out the front, put the motor in and start mocking it all up.
i wanted a shorter rad so my piping would have plenty of room to come over the top with out doing a cowl hood. i also wanted a 3 core radiator to help with cooling so this one for 130$ through northern i thought was a good deal and went with it. its' 16x31x3. between the rad, tans cooler, and oil cooler I'm really hoping to keep heat down. anyway hopefully more to come this weekend.

4431-16, valspar "tractor and implement paint". i paid $19 for a gallon and the stuff is amazing. i purchased it tractor supply which you can get to online if its not in your area.
some may say its not as good as por15 but this stuff is intended for machinery that's sits in fields and from my experience I'd buy a gallon of this over por any day. just my opinion

Dude...you need to lose that stock torque arm for something a bit more beefy
Otherwise, looks good so far....I'm catching up on all the different 3rd gen turbo build threads since I'm getting ready to start one myself.

I'm not sure lol i have the wire feed kind. i used to weld years ago for a die shop i worked at and they had a nice welder and it made welding easy. i just don't do enough welding to justify buying an expensive welder now though. for what I'm doing i think this one works just fine. i think i paid somewhere around $300 for it. if my surface is clean with the right feed it lays a decent bead.

you found a pair or turbo headers for $300? i ordered a pair of header flanges but that's because i couldn't find a decent pair of headers with out breaking the bank. I'll probably end up making my own
thanks guys.

well i had some time out in the garage today. any opinions on the fans in the pics for mounting? i'm thinking about boxing them in beneath the surface they are resting on in the pictures i think it would make it a little cleaner. so they are flush with the battery tray surface. that would also give me more room for the turbo piping going to the intercooler.
