any compliment is a good one I suppose! thank B$

yeah Right now just waiting on my injectors and bracket to finally be shipped.

In the mean time.....yet again I have gotten kinda bored while waiting.

So my new side project just now started at 11:00pm tonight.

I was inspecting the blower.

And well.......I decided even though I am never going to see it....that it could be shinier. I am mainly doing it just to see if it can be done. Some folks will prob call me crazy.

This is within the first 20-30 minutes. Can you see the difference yet? This is just the scuffing stage too!

Once I go up a few more grades and smooth it out
then use some billet polish.......it should be pretty impressive.

Does not seem like its going to be nearly as much work as you'd expect.

Little over an hour in, and already starting to "pop". It's nothing but removing the top layer, then smoothing the lines down by simply going over them in the same place real fast for a long time. By the time I get to 600-1000 it should be looking like a mirror.

Looks good man! When do you think you will have the car buttoned up and on the road? I "might" have fixed my accessory belt issue. I purchased a new auto tensioner and a $30 Goodyear Gatorback belt. Took it out for a little test last night. I've already serpassed the 6 mile mark where the last belt failed, lol.

Looks good man, just put some tape on that thing so nothing gets in the blower..... I just bought HP Tuners and will be checking an SES light that came on the other day after I drove it around the block.

well hopefully it will hold you over till you get the bracket. must be nice to finally drive it. i expect to have it done around tax time. and then i will just be waiting on the custom fab 9 and suspension to come in. it should be track ready by spring including wheels and tires and all. My FIC 2000's should be in tomorrow and currently I am spending a little time looking into tuning. I may have found a deal on EFI live from a sponsor on here. Thinking of getting it and going to take a few lessons. Tuning is an area I am going to have to start learning to be able to truly understand what the car needs to maintain its performance and reliability. Apparently live has a better tuning application for fuel. Gives more info etc......guess we will see. I am going to have to have something on my laptop anyways that I can use to reflash the cpu for a 93 tune in the event I get off somewhere where I cannot find the e85. That is why I kept my alkycontrol meth kit instead of selling it towards some other stuff. The thing on the agenda for september is to get my fast 102 and have Silverghost powder coat it for me. Thinking of black and silver. but may go red since I think the fuel rails will be red as well. idk.

oh yeah. I had a rubber band and a piece of plastic over it the whole time. I just took it off for picture purposes. I am at work now, but I am looking forward to getting back home so that I can get back at it. It looks better and better with each pass. I need to make a run by the store to grab some 400 500 600 800 1000 2000. and a mothers ball and a cone with some billet polish. should have it looking real real good. I have not seen alot of people do it, and I wanted to show it could be done and done well. When I first started I was like man, am I ruining this new blower lol. I imagine I will have it done next week or by the end of this weekend. Stay tuned.....no pun intended.

Few small updates

#1

Got in my FIC 2000's today.

Real excited about using these. No injector driver required. 192lb/hr @ 43psi.

Second thing is a lil more info on this blower polishing......its quite a chore. sanded till my hands were raw. should be done soon. just now did my first quick hit with the polish and the mothers powercone. pleased with how it came out.

Only two things left to buy before everything is installed. I need my fuel pumps which Chris has in the box waiting for me in CA. Then the 4l80. and dyno time.

just now bought my vengeance racing fast 102 and NW 102. got the rails and all too.

2 week turn around tho but i suppose good things come to those who wait.

I HOPE TO MEET SOME OF YOU THIS WEEKEND AT LS FEST!

thanks guys...its been a long road, but i think it will be worth it in the end when i can feel the wind in my hair and smoke screen rustangs. I am waiting on Vengeance Racing to finish painting my fast 102 intake. its ported and comes with fast rails, gaskets, and NW 102 tb. Almost bought a custom sheetmetal beck on classifieds but I was assured it would not fit, that was why it was being sold. owell.

we are living in some great times as far as cars and ls1tech build threads go. its insane how fast some of the cars on here are. and how many there are.

I will be at the LS fest this weekend. If youd like to meet up, just let me know. I am going to get me a couple 5ths and a case of octoberfest! hopefully see some insane boosted cars that will make

It really is amazing how many high horsepower cars there are these days.

700rwhp is the new 400rwhp, at least it seems this way. I remember when if you had 400rwhp you had a pretty quick car. Now I don't even bother telling people what it makes (honestly because I don't know), so I simply say it's fun.

I agree, everyone these days is shooting for a 1000 rwhp car. Bob

No crap.. Down here in Houston, 750-800rwhp is the new 400rwhp.. It sucks I finally get enough loot and credit together to do a good build and yet I am a good 7-8 years behind every one else. It's hell to be poor....

Pretty much down here you have to be 900-1000rwhp and be able to hook it to even remotely play with the top 25% cars... And even then you'll still get spanked by 800rwhp junk yard 5.3 Mustang coupes and power glides...

Well, lets just say after this weekend at Beech Bend Raceway, it has been a humbling experience. There were more turbo setups in the FI section. The only big blower I came across was on a stand LOL! I was very impressed with the camaros that the school of automotive machinists brought with them from texas. that must be a kickass school. Got to meet MM and the owners of detroit speed, mike norris, a few vengeance racing folk, and all the guys from ERL.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHF1W...ature=youtu.be

But also, I ran into a nice fellow with a C5 Z06 with a YSI on it. I did some research and asked alot about his combo to better help me understand my own. It was driven 500 miles there, and was running 20* of timing on an LQ9. It has a stock intake and full exhaust (restriction city) on top of 93 octane with 2 methanol nozzles --

Compression is only slightly higher @ 10:1 vs my 9:3:1 and the heads were nothing to write home about, however he made 845rwhp on the third pull, and says he usually makes more. The YSI (from what I have been gathering) has a step up ratio similar to the d1sc, and max's out at 55k blower rpm. It may be easier to turn as well creating a decent result.....but it just had me thinking.......my lq9 having a few more cubes, plus having a bigger blower with a bigger step up ratio, running the same or more boost, on top of better flowing heads and exhaust, a better intake TB, and e85............I'd damn well better make at least 950-1000 or I am going to be scratching my head.
