** Ninetres AeroPorn 1/2 Mile Build **
**Will be adding more pics over the next hour **
I'll try to keep the words short. This was a fun build. Last fall the car went 8.90s on a measly 16psi and didn't really go much faster adding more boost. My old Art Carr was no longer up for the task. Planned on saving my coin over the winter for a Pro Torque Revolution. When doing so, in early December I heard there was some 1/2 mile race that I missed back in November....THAT WAS ONLY AN HOUR AWAY FROM MY HOUSE!!!! It was the Shift S3ctor Airstrip Attack. It had an awesome turnout with lots of bad *** high HP cars. People came from as far as Texas apparently. I thought to myself, "HOW DID I NOT HEAR ABOUT THIS!?!?!?!" Long story long, I decided I'd modify my build to compete at the next one they put on. It happens to be next weekend.
Here are the cliff notes of our plans:
--Pro Torque Converter
--2.50 rear gear (I run a glide)
--Parachute
--Hard line the wastegate vacuum lines
--Replace the defective Rule bilge pump
--Lower car down
--Add Aero
--Tint the entire car
--New wheels/tires for such an event
--Decals
The car is now ready....and looking bad *** if I don't say so myself. We need to address too much nose dive under braking. First test pass braking from speed damn near ripped the front air damn off! Enjoy the pics!
Look MA! No Windshield!! Having a fresh one tinted 50% installed.

interesting stuff.
would you by chance be trying to figure out a way to direct air caught up under the car to the diffuser, doing a flat under body, or even creating a slight venturi shape with it?

We'll see how this first race goes. If I really like it, and the car does well, maybe we'll get more serious about perfecting the aero. I actually do happen to have access to a wind tunnel :0
