Default LQ9 408 ci twin turbo in aus

hey guys,

about to order a TSP LQ9 408 to be fitted with a twin turbo kit that will be going into my 03 VY SS holden commodore here in australia.

will be

Cast LQ9 LS1 Style block
callies compstar crank and h beam rods
Wiseco -20cc pistons
assembled and balanced
PRC LS3 250cc heads with i'm guessing the 68cc means combustion chamber.
stainless valves, tiatnium retainers and PRC dual valve springs.
melling HV oil pump etc etc.

now I dont know a whole lot, so bear with me.

has anyone used this same setup from TSP for this purpose, and what else do you suggest?

I am still unsure of what cam would be suitable for the TT application with these pistons lowering compression.

really need to know as I am about to order and can't keep spending $$$$ on phone calls in middle of the night to get the information i need.

thanks guys.

on a side not, I am aiming for more than 500rwkw from this as my last motor was a standard LS1 and made 400rwkw on 14psi.
pretty keen to pump way more in, but using standard manidold atm too.

I know a guy over here with one of there 402s built for boost, dragon slayer crank etc, they rate the long block to 1500 hp.

He has a twin turbo kit making 575 rwkw @ 16-17 psi and is out of turbo, turbos are maxed.

Your main issue will be keeping heads down. But at 500rwkw, ya shouldn't have a problem. A few guys on here will probably recommend twin 62/67mm turbos? But they'll take you up to around 900/1000hp.

Never used TSP, i went with AES. Couldn't be happier.

So things changed a little bit.

Going with single S480 instead of twins.

so have started the car, have not had it tuned yet and has not seen the dyno yet.
hopefully in next few weeks it should see some dyno time, and might get to take it out on track for a good blast.
took it to track few weeks back, mainly just to run it in, get some time under load.
seems very strong and toey!!!

So what compression ratio are you running with the ls3 68.5cc heads and -20cc pistons?

I just ordered a 408 with -10cc heads and was told I'd be around 10.3-10.5cr.

How is the lower cr feel when running outside of boost?
