Trust me I could push it 3 blocks from here and they would still hear it, the car is freakin loud its something you have to expirence.....with that being said.....I washed it up and checked things out once again before taking it out. I had to wait another hour but it was worth it
I got on the freeway and punched it to see if the belt would slip, no slip and away we went, I had to get off it right away because I caught up to traffic but I pushed the memory button on my digital boost gauge and bam 10.5psi showed up

I then got off the freeway, and got right back on it, I punched it at the bottom of third and let her eat for a sec or two before I let off, pushed the memory button again, 13psi I am getting nowhere near my redline of 7100rpm, and I doubt I rev'ed higher than 62-6400rpm in third on the last run(was keeping an eye on my FP gauge)
So things are looking good so far I will be putting it up in the air now to check things out, and look for belt dust on the stand offs and to see if anything else needs attention.

Just hope it keeps working this good

I think that 3.2 will be plenty I am sure you will see more than 15psi with it, how high do you plan on spinning it again?

And whats up with these short posts? I guess its kind of hard to be excited about this with all the crap me and you have been through in our pursuit of MEGA BOOST

The 3.2 on the blower pulley should max out the D-1SC, thats what Scott told me, so we will see....... I got a tiny cam, so I'll probably spin it to 6500 either way........

Jer, I'll work on some mega posts related to our mega boost, just wait until I get my setup working, that will be a BOOK of info

These little intercoolers are going to be holding us back for sure though

I just hope you don't run into anymore snags. 3.2 I should have got a 3.4 or a 3.6 but I'll see what this 3.7 will do at the track and with more RPM's
I want to also hit the dyno this week too.

Should make some good #'s, Kyle what blower pulley are you using?

I'm thinking I'll see 15-16psi at 6500 rpms w/the 3.2", that should be good for 625-650rwhp with the twin intercooler setup

That's what Wendy and Scott both told me. I was told that the castings are very different from year to year and Scott wants the alignment to be dead on, so it's easier to align it in shop. So it's either the pricey ATI dampener or a $90 stock balencer that they keep at their shop. With all the problems we've had with these kits seems kind of a waste to skimp on the $90 balencer and risk the chance of alignment issues.

Just my $0.02. But I was told that they wouldn't seel them without a new balencer that Scott would personally align at his shop with the very kit you receive in the mail.

Thanks to [sarcasm]GM's committment to high quality control[/sarcasm] the day of the bolt on kit, at least for us FI guys, is gone.

I agree about the 90.00 being nothing in the big picture but like jeremy I have a brand new balancer on the car that is pinned to the crank so I didnt see the point in buyng another - thats why I just said screw it since mine is working fine for now

Oh yeah I hear ya. Just wanted to warn any potential buyers that's it's probably best to just spring for the balencer. Plus I've been following the cogs stories and hate to see Jer and/or Bos have any little issues. They've been through enough already

There is caution with those smile dudes this time around.

I am going to put it to the test on friday at the track, now if the belt makes it past the 2-3 shift I'll be happy, if it makes more than 8.5psi(damn cogs) I'll be even more happy, IF it makes it through the burn out, Launch, 1-2, 2-3 making 14+psi and gets me a 10sec pass up here at 5600ft(DA usually in the 7000's) I will be freakin PSYCHOTIC and probably kill the dude at the time slip booth out of SHEER insanity that the damn thing worked like it is suppose too

Keep those credit cards in the wallet until the track testing. I will be taking her out for more street testing, but first I am going to retension the belt again just for ***** and giggles. I don't want the belt to ever slip again.
