That's sweet, has to be a blast driving that thing!

Think a bigger turbo would get more hp/lb as the boost rises? or maybe its just a byproduct of the drivetrain? I was thinking it should pickup more then 11-13hp/lb.

Yeah! I'd say that leaves quite a bit of headroom yet then for additional sloppy horsepower.

Now park it till spring time so you can get some track passes before it blows up!

What was the fuel fix? Did you find out what was causing the restriction? Bypass? Drill it out?

Matt, if you're running out of turbo at some point, spraying a little water/meth pre-turbo has been shown to "expand the compressor map" so that it effectively flows more at the same boost pressure. Could be fun to try and see what extra you can get out of it.

I know you're not one of those guys who will be too worried about compressor blade erosion or anything. Haha

strap a go pro on a chase car, get on the freeway, turnt it all the way up, cruise around 70 mph and then film rolling burnouts. Have someone edit the **** out of it with some crazy music and don't come back on this site until it is put on youtube.

btw, bad *** man. I bet that thing is out of control fun to drive.

My 76/65 response is ridiculous, which is fun on the street, But i can tell the small exh is holding it back. Im approx 3800lb also and im looking for another turbo.
Goal is high 9s. Any suggestions for me since you've used just about every awesome budget turbo? Haha thanks!
Whatcha think Matt?

Going from the 76/65 to a 78/75 will be noticeable and a worthy upgrade. I gained over 50 rwhp on the same boost level going from an on3 76/65 to a Turbonetics 78/75. The on3 and VS Racing 78/75's are proving to be very stout.

If going to the effort to swap them out why not just go 88mm and gain even more? On3 88 is $525 shipped and has a larger turbine.

That turbo wasn't available when I did the swap. If it was I may have tried it.
