Seems Nathan Shaw bolted a set (S369SXE) on his Nova. Hasn't posted results but says they feel great. This should provide some insight and valuable data as compared to his TC 72 cast wheel/68 turbine combo....car went something like 7.9x @ 172.
With a combo that sorted out...the results of the new turbos should validate the findings.

As mentioned the smaller engnes run at a much higher pressure ratio on the map where the s369 really shines. Most arent going to run 40-80+ lbs of boost like the small engine guys do. Not thT u cant make great power w them, but they arent going to perform like they do on small engines

That's cookin! Should be even more efficient at higher boost levels.
It's more than just the boost level it's the pressure ratio. The PR is generally higher on a smaller engine at the same power level as a larger engine. Smaller engine may be a good thing with those particular units. Should get them into a more efficient range.

While I don't have any experience with the 369sxe, I will say I have a lq4 with a 80e, and a s366 with stock Z06 valve springs and a Z06 cam, I love it for a daily. It lights off extremely fast, I will say over 5k you can feel it start to nose over a little bit. However it all really depends on your end goal. I hope to swap in my billet s369 at some point but as of right now I really like the way it works. Perfect for a daily

So how much is an s369 SXE? I see some 1 saying 2 for cost of an s480, I don't recall the SXE being cheap when I was looking... Also how does it compare to a TC78 In size/weight, power and response? TC78 was the other turbo I was looking at fir a stock ls1 6spd but ended up with an on3 billet 84 for future upgrades and auto.

I had the on3 84/75 before switching to twins, worked ok but couldn't make the jams I was looking for. It worked better then the 78/75 as far as holding more boost up top.

Hmm, sounds right, I remember seeing them in the 800 plus range for the super core plus 150-175 for the housing. I would do a GT91 for less than the price of a billet s480 myself. I think the Borg gets pushed too much based off the cheap units... Cost vs performance seems moot on that higher flowing large frame stuff IMO.

ya I was just going off if forced induction s site, for 1395 the GT91 is rated higher than anything else I could find with similar specs/frame size, as far as I know they had 1 of the best billet 80 wheels? Direct comparisons are hard to find due to similarities I guess?

Hopefully you’ll be pleasantly rewarded! Ran mine again on slightly higher boost and went high 8’s @ 158+ on 24-25lbs with the 369’s with a horrible 60’ because track wouldn’t hold a launch. That’s on a 5.3 with stock 862’s which probably choke the boost a bit. I can see these being really efficient on a better engine.

Ive got a S369SXE on my LS2 in my AWD TBSS and it shines very well for a daily. Maxes out my 82lb injectors with methanol on 13 lbs of boost. I am a dealer for Borg Warner also and can sell the S369SXE with a 1.0 divided exhaust housing for 815 plus shipping.

Instead of getting a s369 which has a tiny 73mm turbine I have a damn near brand new forced induction billet s472 with 83mm turbine and 1.10AR T6. Spoiled very fast in a 5.3 I will give you a great deal!

Me. I have a 5.3 with single 369. In warm weather it dynoed 600rwhp on 12 psi. Trapped around 116/117 in the 1/4 at 4800lbs . Now that it’s cooler it traps over 122 at the same weight . So I think it’s closer to 650+ now. I would imagine the 6.0 and more psi could hit 800
