I did set it up with the hend held. The tach agrees with the hand held most of the time. Then it either goes to zero or some other reading that doesn't make sense. I think that if, as you say, the Fitech puts out the same signal as stock ecm I can set the Speedhut on 4 cylinder and it should work.

I was mostly checking to make sure it was not a common problem with Fitech.

The tach I have is an older no-name aftermarket. It didn't hurt my feelings to order the new Speedhut.

gotcha. I wasn't aware it was a cheap aftermarket tach. Then yes I would spend the money for the speedhut.

Prob lite it off Wednesday, motor is in the boat, wired, fuel system tested I just haven't had time to do the setup and throw some flame proof vht paint on turbine housings. If your on the fb page for ultimate ls users I'll post idle on gas video this wknd to it , hopefully. The twin quantum 380s are controlled by a Ford style starter relay/solenoid signaled by the fitech pump control wire, gave them 8gauge from battery to feed on without any check valves , running 10an from tanks to pumps then split into 8s at back of rail makes instant rail pressure when the pumps come on lol. Of course rail pressure fades off when they shutoff but it should crank up during priming plus I read it runs the pump during cranking. Excited to try it, be the cheapest damn way to fuel with efi on big power

If it works. I’ll use it on my next project. I use it now on a n/a engine. It’s works flawlessly. It was them that steered me away from it for big injectors.

Well no luck trying to start it today ,even took off half the day to play with it but I'm getting no spark at all. All fuses good, rpm counts on handheld like it should, key wire always has voltage even during cranking, 24x reluctor. I know coil sub harnesses are correctly plugged into the right coils etc etc etc

I had the same problem. Swap out crank sensors and nothing. This is what they told me to do via email

Tom!? Is that u bud!? Lol we’ve been talking quiet a bit on the fb page. I usually recommend to do a full rewrite and it Could fix it. Some of the PCMs didn’t have base tunes on them so people were getting weird things like noise or no fuel or spark etc.

Well so far the 210s aren't going too well. Fixed the oil leak on lunch break and motor fired up nice, ran maybe 20seconds then went pig rich and died. From then on its flooding while cranking and I've turned the cranking fuel down as far as it'll go(-70%) on all 3 cranking fuel inputs and prime . Literally have to lean it out and let it fire on what it flooded on, throw fuse in while its running kinda deal then it just runs pig *** rich. Base is 44psi on gauge, key on engine off, no intake leaks, dual widebands both showing full rich. Guess I shouldve started with deka 80s

How do you have the injector settings in the fitech? Don’t they only come with 60lb injectors? So you’re running an injector that will need 3.5x less fuel at idle… Can you subtract like 300%? 70% seems like too little maybe?

Wish I was a little more familiar with it. Been trying to get the fitech to connect to a laptop for 2 weeks on a buddies car and they can’t get it to work. Been talking to fitech tech support and all.

They did say the biggest I could run was 120 lbs and then it might be stretchy

I kinda don’t understand that… The ECU doesn’t care/know what size the injector is. (in most cases I’m familiar with anyway). You can throw a 500lb injector in an MS3 and it doesn’t know it from a 50lb injector…

I bought the ecu and harness kit 70050 with the subharness for extra wideband in other turbo. It has a injector input tab, I just edited it to read 210lbs. Ive asked on the fitech fb pages if we can manually enter injector data into procal. Waiting to hear back on that

They told us the same on gm stock ecu but guys are running 210s in those. If it weren't for knowing the power adder 1200 tbi guys are having good luck, I would throw up my hands and go to diff injectors but they're making them work so I wanna try. I don't need a great idle etc. It's a dragboat but do need it to start and idle lol

Ive tried lowering base to 35, lowering motor size 20% also and nothing has really helped. I'm stuck at going to aus 114lb injectors unless someone can confirm the ability to change injector data in procal beyond what lil the handheld will do for injector sizejust as worried that the 114s will be a problem need at least 1200hp worth of gas injector at 43.5 base so my pumps do the job.
