Thanks for those positive waves.
Yeah I'm wanting the car to be truly 100% before I hit the track. My next video will probably be a rolling shot of me getting on it.

Yeah so drove the Banana for about 75 minutes today. Good news, it ran, had good driveability.
The bad, first it ran on the warm side, and then I popped/burned the fuse (50A) for my Taurus / Contour fan. Now I'm told I could config my screen to show 'Fan On" so that's something I need to do. Looking back I'm not sure the fan was working for a bunch of the time. My buddy Gary was nearby and came over to me with a a correct fuse (J case for this Leash relay), and some wiring tools. Long story short he ended up rigging the power wire to the back of the alternator so I could drive the 4 miles home. On this drive home it was sitting at 214 most of the time, would creep up a little at lights.
So the plan is to 1. check idle and cruise timing with Andrew B the tuner, and I'm watching @ryeguy2006a 's swap over to a PWM C7 fan.
Anyway once we fix the cooling system I'd have no concern driving this car 30-40 miles.

Update. I talked to a friend of mine who wires performance cars as a full time job and he's going to take the car in next week and go over all the wiring. I can admit that I don't know anywhere near enough about wiring to be troubleshooting that part of the build. He'll have it 1-1.5 weeks.

Keep in mind that the dash showing “fan on” only means it sent the signal to the relay. Doesn’t mean the fan is actually operating. You should be able to hear the fan running. If you can’t, your car’s too loud and doesn’t qualify as a street car! Lol. Just kiddin. Hell, for the time being, tie a ribbon or something to the intake or a place you can seen through the back of the hood while driving, then you’d know the fan actually blowing. Blowing a 50amp fuse would be concerning, so having the car looked at is a great idea. I wouldn’t go changing anything yet (fans), you haven’t given this setup a a chance. Wait until you’ve tried everything and you’re still not happy. It’s been super muggy in our area, so temps are gonna be up a little. I was 10° hotter than usual this evening cruising around.

LOL I can't actually hear the fan to be honest lol.
We might keep the current fan, see what he says. He's wired a bunch of cars and one of them is a 70ish Nova with an LS and single turbo. They been running a Cruze single fan with good results, wired up as simple / off not PWM.
I'm tired of farting around on this wiring stuff.

Yeah it could just be the ground is not ideal, or the power wire needs to be thicker but I have a lot of money tied up in the car. Jay reached out and he's wired a lot of cars and I want him to fix 1-2 things but look over everything. He'd have the car a week, week and a half.

I trust him a lot, he's wired 8-9 cars that I personally know, and some of them have run Summit Drag Week.
He has a buddy with a single turbo / LS 1970 Nova and that build is very similar to mine. They drove around for 4 days in the car between Norwalk and Indy. I want that reliability. I know he can do it, and it's taking me too damn long to get there. I'm satisfied with all the other stuff that I did on the car at home (fuel system, shocks, shifter, seats, the wiring, brakes + lines, re did the guts of the rear end, plumbed boost lines list goes on). But trouble shooting the wiring pretty much requires that someone who is very solid with it be there at the car for a day or 3.
