It had a stock trunk lid + spoiler when I first got it. I prefer the flat trunk look because '67 models never came with a spoiler. Plus this trunk lid is a Glasstek and lighter than stock. But I might try to paint it.

Glad you got it figured out John! Can you share some more pictures of the new shroud you had made?

Car is on the rollers today. At some point I'll go to a variable speed fan like Andrew and you are running.

While not as fancy or as "right" a simple SSR brick wired up to run the fan and you can PWM the fan via holley.

My buddy has been driving the car around.

My quarters are stretched, this is a good shot of how 28s look on my car. I have a set of MT 295/65/15 DRs to swap on in the near future.

I'm going to steal that idea for my C7 fan. I have my fan bolted to my shroud, but I like how you have it all in essentially one piece. Thanks for posting the pictures!!

Yeah that's all Jay. He's got a buddy running a single Cruze fan in a 1970 Nova that cools great.

And... everything works!!!!!!!!!!

-Idling in the 180s in traffic... no words.
-Trans brake works
-Bump works
-Car has hit 14 psi on the street (big wide street in MI)
-Second pump (Weldon 2345A) some wiring fixed and it's doing it's job

I'm forgetting other stuff.

Big big shoutout to Jay Blanchard, JayWire Solutions in Western Michigan and Jon Capizzi for some boost tuning.

What I need to do:
-Swap WG springs to 7 lb springs, only builds 3 lbs on the current springs
-Swap ladder bars but I can f around with the current ones
-I am going to swap on the taller 295s

Thank you guys for the interest and help, Jamie, all you guys.

I feel like a 10 year old on Christmas morning.

So happy to hear you got things all straightened out, John. Now, go enjoy it!

BTW, I like the “no spoiler” look.

Yeah I'm a big nerd for the no-spoiler look. Actually 1967 Camaros were not available with a spoiler but many folks added them.

Gotta be a good feeling knowing its ready to play, esp the engine temps, I would trade HP any day in exchange for a non overheating car, although mine is fine. Did they do anything special to the rad., or just fans.
Go have fun, report back, lol.

Yeah, my number one pet peeve are cooling issues. If I lived out in a rural area I'd probably not stress over it so much, but I live in actual Chicago about a mile from Wrigley Field.

Before the work, the car would get to 214 but would creep. When driving car was anywhere between 218 and 225 and I hit 230 twice.

-Northern dual pass radiator: He cut off and redid my lower bung (16AN). Wasn't leaking. I think he wanted a better angle. FWIW my core is 20.7 wide.
-1994 Contour/Taurus single 16" fan. He built a shroud that incorporates the fan and it's plastic shroud. The final shroud covers the entire core, where my old setup didn't cover the top 4 inches of the radiator. I asked the guys if they thought this fan was a keeper or I should change to something in the future. They think it's a a keeper.
-Stat. I have been running a gutted stat most recently, my car does no have heat. I also have the hose outlets removed on m 5th gen water pump and welded flush. He made (and now sells) a stat that includes a block-off. His comment, and I might be garbling it up, he wanted to block off the bypass, I will attach a pic.
-In the tune, the fan is coming on at 185. His buddy and mine Jon Capizzi did some WOT tuning and tweaked some stuff around cruise timing which we here on Tech talked about 2 weeks ago, I think the cruise timing is somewhere between 36-40 degrees, and the idle timing I'm not sure but probably somewhere around 22 but I can check.
-My Leash single relay was getting messed up, Jay notes that it's only a 30 amp piece. The solder was melting out of it. But the issue was my fan was running too hard that's why it got so hot and was burning stuff up. He's got an inline 40 amp blade fuse in there now.

Sounds good , quite a few changes to pinpoint which did the most but it doesn't matter now anyways 👍👍 any idea what the timing was like before?

I don't remember idle timing, cruise timing needed more.
