So one of the 4 I removed is bad, I'll have to swap them back on one by one to figure it out. Always good to keep tons of spares of parts like that around. I myself went with the V2 BTR trunnion kit, haven't heard anything bad about those either. Hope your next track outing is more successful!
yeh its definitely frustrating knowing the time and money ive put into this thing trying to make it as best as i can. Yeh i cant stand a misfire. Im chasing a misfire on my wifes truck now. Its a 2019 silverado. My buddy has those trunions is his truck and they have done him well. One of the guys at the track that was with my tuner has a 2000hp 4wd silverado and it has CHE trunions in it so that really was the deciding factor for me. That truck is nasty and violent so in my eyes if they can handle that kind of torture then my truck shouldn't be nothing for them. Our other local track has fire on the bayou there in a few weeks so I plan on trying again then. I'm hoping our temperatures will be a little cooler by then and I dont have a trailer so im going to invest in one before I go back. Luckily the guys I went with had one and let me borrow it or else I would of been stuck.

You built yours, tuned it and went racing pretty quickly, much more harsh way of finding out what doesn't work versus street driving and ironing it out.
Consider your combo though too, 5.3 on 20lbs. on E85 with the 7875 has gotta be knocking on 700whp and those 7875's make good torque too in a heavy truck so everything is working hard, way harder than on nitrous for sure.
in my eyes it felt like a long time, out of those 2 years most of that we were working on it and it always does fine on the street. Of course the track is a different animal then the street and its over 700 wheel. It made 765 on the old motor with a truck cam that was falling on its face at 6200. Mind you the turbo also went bad right after that because it wasn't getting enough oil. I havent put it back on the dyno yet but I can tell you by driving it that its faster then it was when I made that dyno pull. Im also shifting at 7k now and have a much better cam and a new turbo that is getting the proper oil.

And now my 2019 daily silverado has dropped a lifter. I cant win for nothing. I've always been a chevy guy but here lately I find myself depending on my company truck a bit more often. 2022 f150 5.0.

You guys can see my truck on YouTube on fire on the bayou no problem raceway at 11:15 minute mark. Keep in mind this was the first test pass with the new motor and I didnt want to max it out and i should have gotten on the transbrake a little better but I was a little rusty, been a while.

I didnt attach the video but someone else did after I commented, its on YouTube. If you type in fire on the bayou no problem raceway it will pop up and im at the 11:15 mark and i was a bit rusty and didnt stay on the the brake long enough for it to build enough boost so I could have done better and no new noise so far and I ordered all the parts from Texas speed for the daily truck so im just waiting on everything to come in. Im going to do it at my buddy's house since he has an enclosed shop with ac, lift, and just about any tool you can imagine. Were going to yank the motor and trans out and put a dod delete kit on the motor and then while im at it im going to do the thermal by pass on the transmission, a new converter, trans filter, and new fluid. Trans hasn't given me any problems but while im in there im going to go ahead and do those few things as well. On a side night theres a silver caprice in the video as well, that's my buddy's car, my tuner tunes and works on that car as well.

Good call on the converter, GM had a lot of issues with converters in that year range, mine failed but luckily Chevrolet covered it.

my warranty was 5 years/100k miles. Im still under 100k miles. Its at 80k but August made 5 years. I had a 2013 as a daily before that truck and lifters failed at 88k but on that truck I was within my 5 years so warranty covered it, then 3 weeks later it happened again, then again at 94k so thats what made me trade it in for the 2019 and now its doing the same thing but im not starting over again with payments, the truck is still immaculate, so this go around ill just do the necessary upgrades

Yeah, I had several lifters fail on mine too around 80K miles which were covered.
I bought one of those Ranger AFM delete modules that plugs into the OBDII port, been good ever since.
If the other lifters fail, I'll just toss a Stage 1 DOD Delete Truck cam in it.

I ordered the kit from Texas speed, its just a stock spec cam but I liked it there kit because you dont have to pin the cam phaser. It retains the vvt and just deletes the dod so its relatively easy and my buddy will tune it for me so I didnt have to get the hand held. With his discount I got the kit for $693. I still have to buy the converter and the thermal bypass though. I thought about putting a different cam in it but I already know the rabbit hole that we lead me down. My wife drives my daily more then me as I always drive my company truck so I just need it to be reliable for her. The last thing I need is her calling me telling me her and my 5 year old are broke down some where so stock it stays.

What is the thermal bypass?
What converter are you buying?

Those transmission have a thermostat, you can do a thermal bypass on them and it drops the temperatures from 200-210 to around 150-160 and I havent decided on a converter yet. Ive been searching around trying to decide. I have a buddy that has a similar truck and he bought one of the billet ones from oreillys and his truck does surprisingly well so I was considering getting that one but still kinda undecided.

These LT trucks are definitely not an ls, started on my 2019 or should I say 2018 because it's 2018 body style search for the number 7 misfire and I definitely found it. Sure enough spring stuck on lifter.

My lt truck finally apart, decided to pull the motor. Notice timing tensioner was cracked and oil pan was leaking it was easier to pull the motor then pull the pan since I already had the heads off. Im gonna go ahead and change rear main seal and put a gel pro gasket on the oil pan instead of silicone.
