So I got my lt truck back running and all is well with how it runs but now my fans come on as soon as I crank the truck and ac isnt working. What could of caused that? I already changed coolant temp sensor and thermostat thinking maybe that was it but it is still doing it.

Where did you get the labels for the wiring?
I'm starting to plan out mine and want everything clearly labeled moving forward.

I have a label maker at work and typed everything up and brought it home. They are cheap though, just go on amazon and order a label maker.

Great, one last thing if you please.
What Deutsch connector kit did you do go with?
I see several on Amazon ranging from $109.00 all the way up to $400.00 so I don't want to buy the cheap one and find out they suck lol.

So unfortunately guys im experiencing another issue with the turbo truck, I took it for a drive last night around town and I keep it around 18 psi on the street. This guy pulls up next to me in a hellcat and I was going around 40 mph, I let him have it, when I put it to the floor it spun a pretty good amount and I let out of it and hit it again and it caught traction that time and I pulled on him pretty good, honestly I thought those cars were faster then that cause I drug him pretty bad. Then after I heard the same tapping noise I heard at the track a few months back then I went in McDonald's and grabbed something to eat because that was my reason for going out, once I got back in the truck and crunk it up the noise was way quieter and by the time I made it home it had gone away.
*Am I experiencing lifter pump up? Melling jb2079 lifters
* Do i not have enough spring pressure?
Cam motion
155 lbs @ 1.780"
380 lbs @ 1.180"
400 lbs @ 1.130"
coil bind @ 1.070"
*cam is 227/234 .600"/.600" 114 LSA 111 ICL
* push rod clearances meassured between 7.2985 - 7.3125 and the lifters call for .040-.080 so im within spec with my 7.375 push rods
-shifting around 7200

*243 heads milled .040 with .051 head gasket
* initially I thought it was the rockers but thags rulled out with the CHE trunnion upgrade

Maybe u pumped the oil out of the sump on that hit, did u check ur oil level….i have a melling hi volume pump on my LSA build and i hear people say that u can pump all the oil out of the sump on a hard hit…..i dunno how much truth is to it or if its just a myth, cause ive yet to pump my 302-2 pan dry….but im just throwing a guess out there….check your oil level, if its on the low side it may be a possibility……what kinda oil pump you running??? If the noise is gone then id just do a top off on the oil if low and maybe add some snake oil of your coice…..i like liquid-moly brand additives , they seem to do well in my vehicles….good luck and hope this helps in some sort of fashon!!!

Melling M355 GEN IV AFM DOD Lifter Oil Pump Stock Pressure Fits Gen4 LS with AFM DOD 5.3L 6.2L LH6 LS4 with rotella 15w40 o15w47 quarts in the pan and oil looks good and reads fine on the dipstick. Ive never thought a out adding additives, ill definitely look into that and yeh it goes away fairly quickly.

Snake oil is just a term used back in the old days for stuff that doesnt work……but sometimes it does……..when i say snake oil im reffering to an oil additive or treatmeant of your coice…..I.E., Lucas, mystery oil, stp, Z max, liqui-moly, etc. etc……..like i mentioned before the liqui-moly line up is actually pretty good stuff and has worked for me every time ive used it!!!……..yeah i dont think your pan is getting sucked dry , but who knows….your dip stick will give u a better idea!!! Hopefully you were just a little low on oil!!…..correction you said you oil looked fine so now im kinda stumped…..but like u said if the noise went away then i have no idea where to even start….

yeh i actually changed my post right away when i realized you were referring to additives. What if i put it on the dyno and made a pull? Would that eliminate if its a starvation issue? I have readily available access to a dyno so I can easily test that theory. Im assuming with it not being able to move and only the wheels spinning that would answer that question?

my tuner seems to think one of the lifters are getting stuck and then letting back go but fo me I dont understand why that would only happen at wot pulls and then immediately go back to normal. I would think that would be more sporadic. He said he recently built an engine and a brand new Johnson lifter was bad and they had to pull it back apart and change the lifter so being new still doesnt matter. The only thing I would question pm the starvation thing is when it happen I can feel a slight misfire and as the tick goes away so does the mis.

Mm... collapsed lifter will definitely tick but not misfire, pumped up lifter would misfire but not tick . Head scratching for sure, maybe you have 1 or more of each ? Beginning to think that I'm lucky I left my old 2004 lifters in mine when I swapped the cam

its strange though because its only after wot pull and then within minutes its back to normal.

I think I may change the oil and put an additives in it and i have 7.375 pushrods in it, but i have 7.4 also. I may try and put those in and see if a little more preload changes anything.
